Franken is a fascist crushing a nit. What else is there to know about this story?

Ahha!

Petty attempt at payback for Senator Corburn requiring them to read the Sanders amendment.

Now that makes sense. Time for a "kinder, friendlier" senate. PPPhhhhtttttttttttt!

This may be historic - first time a “Senator” whose winning vote margin was found in the trunk of a car after the election was over

You are correct sir. One poll worker admitted she stuffed the ballot box at least 150 time. Coleman won that election, the dims stole it.

I’ve been on a movie set with him but I don’t know him personally. He comes off as arrogant and Napoleonic (short man’s syndrome — and not every short man has it so I am not knocking all the wonderful short guys out there).

A question:
If the majority leader, the Vice President, and the President Pro-Tem are not present, is the selection over who presides somewhat based on seniority? Or is it whoever Harry Reid chooses?

I try to remind myself that there is Minneapolis (which unfortunately spills over), and then there is the rest of Minnesota. Al Franken is Minneapolis. So for that matter is Garrison Keillor, even though his “Prairie Home Companion” is at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. I know some St Paul liberals who think Keillor is an arrogant ass.

Franken(stein) and “Clobber-her” are approximately equal embarrassments to my state. We’ll deal with them some way some day, but even together, they’re not worth one bullet. For now, we’ll just change their diapers, feed and burp them.

I loved Lieberman’s comeback...

And as for Franken...He prefers to be addressed as “Senator.”

Great picture!!! I think in our modern era, it would be any one of the demoRATs on the bottom, curled up in cowardly fetal position, while Michelle Bachmann R-MN beat the sh_t out of the demoRAT cowering underneath like the cowards they all are!!!

It’s not out of the ordinary to have a freshman senator preside over the Senate. They are there just to move things along and rarely have to make a serious decision or ruling on anything.

I’ve been on the Senate floor during debate as well as up in the galleries. Most senators who are presiding over the Senate usually look extremely bored or are signing birthday cards for their constituents.

See Post 53.

It’s pretty much an expected thing for freshmen senators to do.

Apparently Franken was following orders.

“We did that to maintain order and that no senator had an unfair advantage over another in terms of speaking. It was a simple request of the leader and Sen. Franken was adhering to the request of his leadership,” said Reid spokesman Jim Manley.
