This is a kabuki dance put on to maintain the illusion there is debate and provide cover for the Nelsons of Congress. The only real solution to the "blue dogs" is to get rid of every one of them.

In the end they will cave or they won't get another set aside passed or another bill or another favor.

From the "Reid bribes" thread article:

The compromise package Reid released Saturday puts new limits on insurance company profits. The measure would require insurers in the individual market to spend 80 percent of premiums on medical care. The requirement for group policies would be 85 percent.

Therefore insurance companies will go out of business. Mission accomplished.

We are being dictated by people who have no ethic, honor, no conscience and who do not fear God or judgment and have placed themselves above the law, man, morality and ethics.

Well said. Remember though, God IS watching.

Sounds like we’ll all be waking up to lumps of coal in our stockings come Christmas morning.

All is NOT lost, but we need to man up NOW. This is the time for action, not hand wringing.

Agree 100%

The "doomers" and hand-wringers unwittingly do the dirty work of the tyrants by spreading defeatism in our community. It needs to stop. We must keep morale high, if we're to effectively defeat the menace that threatens us.

I suggest to everyone, that if they haven't already done so, to join up with their local Tea Party group, and join the fight. We have much to do.

It should also be a lesson for those on the Right, many of whom are here at FR, who either stayed home or voted for fringe candidates such as their beloved “Fred” or Duncan Hunter, for example.

The lesson should be that running a wimpy, "moderate" RINO candidate whose campaign and oratorical skills couldn't win a student council election results in disaster. And how about we choose a candidate next time who doesn't decide to suspend his campaign in the middle to rush off to Washington and look like an idiot. Liberals don't vote for "moderates", nor do "moderates".

True "moderates" - the ones who supposedly make up their minds late in the campaign, vote for who ever seems cool, or who their friends like, or who looks best on the cover of some magazine. They aren't worth chasing unless your candidate happens to be the kind of candidate that appeals to them...

“Nelson is taking everyone for fools. None of his agreement eliminates abortion funding.”

As I have said before and will continue to say, Roe v. Wade is one of the best tactics the left has used to destroy the Conservative movement from within.

Is it constitutional for a bill to allow Nebraska and Louisiana citizens to pay less than a citizen of NC, PA, AZ, etc?????

THE END OF AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT

I know! After pining for America for 21 years, and going through the hoops with immigration for over 20 more years, I get on the train at the end of its last trip!

“There is no such thing as a pro-life demorat.”

When are ya’ll going to get it? Abortion is small potato’s compared to the Freedom of the American people and ultimately the world. Without Freedom you become a slave and have no control over your body. Get off the one issue politics and look at the big picture. Abortion, euthanasia will be mandated and owning a firearm will be mental disorder along with denying global warming.

As Ben Franklin said “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.”

You want to be a defeatist and curl up in a fetal position, you go right ahead. But leave us who are yet willing to fight for your freedom.

Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty.
- Thomas Jefferson

Senator Ben Nelson stands in the eye of the storm in the Health Care Reform Bill Debate.  What an exceptional man!   We all admire and respect his fortitude and resolution.

It's a time to reflect on the historical fact that a Virgin, years ago, gave birth to a child who still impacts our society today.  Anyone who believes in Christ celebrates Christmas.  And today, we have a man standing up for the right of that very child to be born.  This is a very inspiring time that we are living in.  I hope and pray, as I know you volunteer patriots do, that he prevails.

So, here's a great ad being played in Nebraska.

Let's all call Senator Ben Nelson and ask that he filibuster this Health Reform Bill that he hasn't even been able to read:

What needs to happen is that the voter who voted for “moderate” Democrats realize the don’t exist. Even if those Blue Dogs wanted to they do not dare go against the party on something crucial.

%%
I’ll vote “yes” by Christmas
You can count on me
Maybe Snowe, and even Joe,
And now we’ve reached sixty.

Christmas Eve will find me
Tight again with Reid
I’ll vote “yes” by Christmas,
‘Cause Healthcare’s what we need...

The democrats will run on the Mean Republicans taking away your free health Care, who do you think will win?

Exactly. And the funny part is you'll see the GOP fight for this in the future too. Look at how hard the GOP fought against cutting $500 billion from Medicare funding. Amazing how hard they are fighting for welfare.

And you think McLame would have been any better? You've got to be kidding. I will NEVER vote for another RINO just because the are a (R). Either Sarah gets the nomination in '12 or I vote third party or not at all at the top of the ticket.

Abortion is just part of the constellation of evils with the bill. It marks the take over of our country by the marxist.
