From the article:
While 49 other states will be forced to scramble and cut and tax and reappropriate in order to meet the new mandates, Nelson’s home state won’t.

Just thinking out loud here...I wonder if another state(s) could file a lawsuit that would need to go all the way to the Supreme Court over this. That would throw a monkey wrench in this bill for a long time.

Any merit to this idea?

Yes there is a lot of merit to the idea IF we actually had a Supreme Court that upheld the Constitution and had not already kissed the ass of Emperor 0bama.

Communists (aka '0bamunists') are in control of the Executive Branch and the Congress, and the Judiciary is nothing but their rubber stamp now.

Don't you know we're living in the United Soviet States of Amerika now?

But a great idea regardless.

That may be the whole idea. Obama promises federal money to Nebraska in exchange for Nelson's vote, the other states then file suit over it, the SC finds in favor of the other states, Obama takes back his money, but Nelson doesn't get to take back his vote.
