Republican Scott Brown wants Massachusetts voters to think of another telegenic politician when they step into the voting booth next month — Democrat John F. Kennedy, the brother of man he is trying to replace.

In his first television ad in the campaign stretch to fill the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by Edward Kennedy’s death, Brown shows a black and white newsreel of President Kennedy delivering a speech on the benefits of tax cuts.

Camelot was a fiction, but I agree. They have no idea what’s going on.

WHAT YOU SAID IS NOT TRUE, NOT TRUE. Scott Brown supports the Second Amendment (more than Snowe and Collins), and if he supports tax cuts, as the commercial implies, WHAT A BOON.

MA is a deep-blue state, but as I said above, special elections have low turnout, dems are demoralized, and conservatives are energized. GOP has won several statewide races in the last decade (e.g Romney).

It would be the political shock of the new century if the conservatives and Republicans were so energized that they elected a Republican to fill Ted Kennedy's old seat. Probably too much to hope for, but the Dims would require months to recover from the shock if it happened.
