was a friend of mine as the hubby of a wife who was a counselor with me in Taipei. They were both in a church I attended there for years.

At one point, on my way back to the USA, I stayed with them in Hawaii for a week overlooking Diamond Head . . . and he commented at one point that he didn’t even know if he believed that Jesus was God. And he was on the board of the local Methodist church! God have mercy.

Thankfully, his family reported that he did make things right with God before he graduated form this life some years later.

This whole movement has been orchestrated by the oligarchy from the git-go . . . in the face of every oligarchy generated World War . . . they have played all ends against the middle for a variety of purposes.

Peace is hard to knock. Everyone wants peace . . . particularly . . . as Shrillery says . . . for the children.

Instead of ecological concerns, the pope should be talking about slavery still existing in many parts of the world, the abuse of women and children in many nations, letting the government be our brother's keeper rather than the responsibility of the individual.

I'd rather breath the air in the USA than most places in the world. We have done a lot to stop pollution in this country. We have some of the cleanest air in the world, but the pope isn't distinguishing between the chicken little global warming crowd and true environmental stewardship.

If you mean by ‘evolution’ the theory that man evolved from the apes, I don’t know when Pope Benedict made a statement accepting that. Do you have a link? What do you mean by ‘gay rights?’ If you mean gay marriage, neither he nor the Church can endorse that. It’ll never happen.

My hunch is that "authentic human development" is BXVI's attempt to sneak Teilhardism in via the back door of integralism. But that's just a hunch.
