..... the RNC members wanted Steele

The misguided RNC poweratti wanted him precisely and solely because he is black. Somehow, in their twisted minds, they felt that installing him as the titular RNC guiding light, they could magically garner all of those 'reasonable' black votes, etc. Only, they don't realize that race isn't the factor in this war of ideals. Blacks in this country have been duped to believe that Democrats and liberals are on their side in spite of all logic and provable history that shows the converse.

The sooner the RNC and GOP starts showcasing their CONSERVATIVE ideals instead of pandering to a misguided idea of "hey, we're down with the black mans' struggle because we have a black man as RNC head" as something that can convince black people we really want EVERY citizen in this country to succeed, the more the better!....We need to show the people in this country that government is not the answer - it is the problem and when people prosper, they don't automatically have to belong to some ficticious victim group.

I would also like to add that this line of thinking was what got Colin Powell elevated to a position he didn’t deserve to be, and proved much later that the effort was severely mistaken......

Much truth in that. Weighed in the balances and found wanting.

Obviously he is more interested in enriching himself than rebuilding the Republican party. Somebody buy him out. Although the Democrats may pay him to stay where he is. He probably is there best hope right now.

"Republicans won't win back the House in fall elections and might not be ready to lead even if they do"

Gross incompetence. Resign or be fired. Don't let the door hit you....

I think in his rather inept style. He was trying to say that there may not be enough candidates that meet the Conservative criteria to win enough seats to take Congress back this time around.

You are probably right ... It would be a dumb move for Sarah..

A prerequisite for going to Congress is being corrupt.

Steele is a double agent for the Left and the Democrats. He will sell us out or he has already sold us out. I am tired of this affirmative action politics, it gets us nowhere and only digs a deeper grave.

Oh, i think we can. Three thousand well-armed troups, the element of surprise, maybe a little air cover, no problem. /s

Steele is about as effective as a lawn jockey.

He isn't a leader. If he were, he'd be pounding the democrats on every sleazy issue that comes up DAILY.

In short, he's an affirmative action, token, black dude.

[the GOP’s own National Republican Congressional Committee, whose aim is to elect Republicans,]

There would not even be this thought, if the NRCC’s aim was to elect conservatives.

More likely, Sarah will take a Senate seat before running for President.

++++++++++

Senators don’t win presidential elections.

Just received my RNC Donation/Membership mailer!

Ha Ha!! I had a great time customizing this donation form. I basically told them thanks, but no thanks, and that i’d be contributing to individual conservative candidates and Sarah Pac. I hope this useless RINO infected organization gets the message!

NO MORE RINO’s RNC!

You got to meet her? That’s awesome. I saw her speak during a rally before the election and she was great. The crowd (and it was huge) loved her. She has a way of connecting directly to people.
