Palin-mania ping!

Notice the common theme :”We should rally around Palin because all the bad guys will attack her”. I hear this on talk radio regularly.

I think she is happy with the rock star book signing life, no responsibilities, doesn't have to get voters mad at her by making unpopular decisions. Being in office is NOTHING like that!

I’d think the Republicans would be smart to offer Palin Steele’s job (at least on a temporary basis until after the 2010 elections) if she would consider it.

Well she was in office and was hugely popular.

Book signing has finished.

“Notice the common theme :”We should rally around Palin because all the bad guys will attack her”. I hear this on talk radio regularly.”

If you hear it and read it in both conservative and liberal media, maybe you should believe it.

I think she is happy with the rock star book signing life,...

What you think about her future is irrelevant. What matters is the one vote you get during the presidential primary. And she's got my vote. And I tink a hell alot more. I quote this poll.

re: Being in office is NOTHING like that!

My Mom used to delight in pointing out how frequently one can be right, but for the wrong reason! I think this might end up being one of those times. Many, any pundits insist that quitting her job as governor ended any chance she might have had of becoming president. They could turn out to be quite correct, not because the electorate turned on her, but rather because she realized how much nicer life is out of office. It’s been a while since she wasn’t weighed down with the demands of public office. Suddenly she’s free of those constraints, and finds life can be GREAT.

Palin-deflation ping!

All,

Notice the common theme, "I think she is happy with...no responsibilities".

How somebody knows this, I don't know. Perhaps they are projecting or perhaps they are not being objective.

I think she is happy with the rock star book signing life, no responsibilities,

That is a stupid remark.

Governor Palin has been involved in politics for 18 years, her life story is a story of taking on responsibilities, and it earned her the position of the most popular governor in America, a vice presidential slot in 2008 and her current position as leader of the conservative movement. Politics of 2009 are largely different in tone and passion and level of conservative confidence and anticipated success because of Sarah Palin, not because of the republican party of the week before Palin came on the national scene.

Governor Palin's history is one of running against odds, being a giant killer, and being a reformer, it is the opposite of how you tried to describe her, her personal drive has always been to take on responsibilities and to be a woman of action, that is why conservatives like her, she is a hands on politician that clearly fights for results.

In less than 18 months, Sarah Palin has dramatically changed the political landscape for conservatives in America.
