Thank you, Tim Geithner! Thank you, Ben Bernanke! Thank you, Hank Paulson! Thank you, Larry Summers! Thank you, Barack Obama!
Thank you, AMERICA, for making this yet another absolutely great year to work on Wall Street!
[Wall Street] executives acknowledge that the [bonus] numbers being tossed around six-, seven- and even eight-figure sums for some chief executives and top producers will probably stun the many Americans still hurting from the financial collapse and ensuing Great Recession.

At this point I think it’s fair to say the system is broken.
This is all about protecting those who have. The rest of us suckers are supposed to pay taxes and keep our mouths shut...look at the way the Tea Party folks are being abused in the MSM. We need to know our place...just keep workin’ and keep payin’...and shut the hell up.

If all these bonuses are with taxpayer money, then of course I am opposed to that like everyone else.
But this all started by liberals like obama going after anyone in this country who makes a profit.
If a CEO gets a big bonus - and it's in his/her employment deal/contract, and they earned it, fine...let them have it. I don't resent them for it, that is the career path they chose and it worked out well for them.
All I know is, when the government is out of the way, there are jobs and everyone else can pick their career paths as well. If I have a good job, that I like, with a liveable wage, I could care less what some CEO is making..the more he makes, the better the company is, and the more jobs they create.
I had an kindly old Aunt who told me once, "Don't wish for things other people have, wish that you could have one like it, but not for theirs." I don't know, something to do with not "coveting thy neighbor's" whatever. But, it taught me the ills of ENVY, which is a very dangerous vice. LIberals are eat up with it...they think everything they want should belong to them, without having to work for it.
That's fine if you're ten years old and still living at home.
Government, get out of the private sector...let the producers have their bonuses as they are the job creators, government is the job killer.

This is all about protecting those who have. It is not by augmenting the capital of the country,
but by rendering a greater part of that
capital active and productive than would otherwise be so,
that the most judicious operations of banking
can increase the industry of the country.

"Government, get out of the private sector...let the producers have their bonuses as they are the job creators, government is the job killer. " This is only half right. The other half is:
Government, get out of the private sector ... let the executives and shareholders of Goldman Sachs, Lehman Bros., General Motors, Chrysler, Bank of America, Citigroup and all the rest of the corporate gangsters go down the tubes when their business models blow up. These crooks are also job killers, at least for Americans. And they are also the enemies of sound money and truly free markets. They are about as friendly to real capitalism as Vlad Putin or Christina Kirchner.

Maybe the rest of you suckers should work harder. You've got the -keeping your mouth shut- part right. Greedy class warrior,

Yes, the system is rigged so that middle class people bail out
the liberal elite on wall street. geithner and rahm are making
sure that the liberal money men get their pay off the way
clinton did with that crook robert rubin.

These large bonuses are one of the things that is killing America. It order to make the numbers to get these bonuses, the Execs are cutting jobs and sending work overseas. So in fact, they are stealing the wages of the workers that are let go and putting it in their pocket. My company is swamped with work. They are laying people off now, 5% this coming year. They are laying off in some cases the only person with a particular skill. Then they dump the work on the overloaded workers left behind. Great system. No raise for the workers, a large number lose their jobs, the ones left behind fear for their jobs because they don't understand the new tasks dumped on them. The big execs then need a dump truck for their pay and bonuses. I blame both parties for letting this happen!

Yes. The technical term for it is "fascism" or Socialism of the German Model (Mises).
