The Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram claimed on Saturday that the head of Israel's Mossad, Meir Dagan, is "Israel's superman" for successfully thwarting the Iranian nuclear program. The article in Al-Ahram, written by the paper's analyst for Palestinian affairs Ashraf Abu al-Haul, claimed that Dagan is the "brains" behind last week's assassination of an Iranian nuclear scientist. "Surely the Iranians know who stands behind the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist Massoud Ali Mohammadi in Tehran last Tuesday. Any Iranian official understands that the magic word is 'Dagan'," the article read. Advertisement Abu al-Haul claims that "without Dagan, the Iranian nuclear program would have been complete years ago. Nevertheless, the director of the Israeli Mossad, whose name is mostly unknown, works away from the limelight and the eyes of the media." According to al-Haul, in the past seven years Dagan was able to successfully hinder the Iranian nuclear program. "Whoever follows Israeli domestic politics understands that the head of the Mossad, who was appointed to his post in September 2002, was able to accomplish feats no man can describe. From the Iranian issue and limiting the military force of the Syrian army to facing Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Islamic Jihad," the article read. Al-Haul also writes in the article that Netanyahu explained his decision to extend Dagan's term with the claim that Israel was facing serious threats that required the Mossad head to continue in his post, without appointing a successor.

Netenyahu, a Man who understands that the minute they have the bomb it will be launched at Israel. These people are suicide bombers with the power to kill millions if not stopped.
I respect the Mossad very much.
Effective, silent and informed.
More with much less resources than our CIA.
Not sure about non-defined spooks we run. There may be some jewels that are invisible. Such is the nature of the beast.

All one has to do is LOOK at a map of the Middle East.
Color Israel BLUE.
Color the Muslim countries GREEN. You will need more than one crayon for this.
Then you will understand why the Mossad has to be the toughest, most efficient, most ruthless secret service in the world.
God Bless Them.
Isreal falls and we will be the next domino. They will never stop until all the world is one religion and Christ is not in the title.
I am so glad I read the Book first before participating in the movie.
That is NOT the way it ends. LOL.
Yep. That map just about says it all.
Thank you Israel and thank you Mossad.
The Egyptian is likely speaking nonsense. For a more realistic assessment see:

An improvised explosive device (IED) on Jan. 12 detonated in the Qeyterieh neighborhood of Tehran outside the home of University of Tehran physics professor Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, killing him. Ali-Mohammadi was reported to be part of the countrys controversial nuclear program; however, after a review of his work, it appears it may not have been that sensitive in nature.
Ali-Mohammadi published papers on theoretical physics at a rate of three to four times per year since 1993, with the most recent publication coming in December 2009. Ali-Mohammadi also was given the 86th Khwarizmi International Award by the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology. Furthermore, the subject matter of Ali-Mohammadis publications, according to several theoretical physicists, is not directly applicable to the development of a nuclear weapons program, and, rather, is theoretical in nature. The publications do suggest that he had ancillary knowledge that could have been used to aid in the development of a nuclear program, but tangentially rather than specifically.
Ali-Mohammadis publishing record also indicates a commitment to academic pursuit that would have left very little non-research time to work on applied matters, such as constructing a nuclear bomb.
The relatively high visibility and volume of work in academia suggests that Ali-Mohammadis role, if any, in the Iranian nuclear program was not very significant. Critical scientists involved in nuclear weapons programs usually are sequestered carefully and are provided more security than Al-Mohammed was given especially after the assassinations and defections of scientists involved in Irans nuclear weapon program. Moreover, there also have been reports of Ali-Mohammadi being an active supporter of Iranian opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, and it is very unlikely someone deeply engaged in the Iranian nuclear program would engage in anti-government activities.
Many questions remain concerning Ali-Mohammadis exact connection to the Iranian nuclear program.

Here is the Instapundit item, without the embedded links (use the link above to get to the links-included version):
BACKING OFF ON THAT 2007 NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE ESTIMATE: U.S. intelligence agencies are quietly revising their widely disputed assertion that Iran has no active program to design or build a nuclear bomb. Three U.S. and two foreign counterproliferation officials tell NEWSWEEK that, as soon as next month, the intel agencies are expected to complete an update to their controversial 2007 National Intelligence Estimate, which concluded that Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 and had not restarted it as of mid-2007. The officials, who asked for anonymity to discuss sensitive information, say the revised report will bring U.S. intel agencies more in line with other countries spy agencies (such as Britains MI6, Germanys BND, and Israels Mossad), which have maintained that Iran has been pursuing a nuclear weapon.
As I noted before, the purpose of the National Intelligence Estimate was to paralyze us until after the elections. It worked. Some . . . searching inquiry into how that came about, however, might be worthwhile.
Meanwhile, Ron Rosenbaums demand for pundit apologies is likely to remain unanswered.
