I think they’re saying it to make Republicans overconfident and make them feel they don’t really need to get to the polls.

DON’T TRUST THEM! We need every vote.

After Harry Reid and his slimy whip team ruined our Christmas, the irony of this is too delicious.

After Scott wins on Tuesday, I encourage every freeper on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to call every RAT senator up for re-election in 2010 and 2012 to inform them, “you are next.”

After her loss, the dems will paint her as the second worst person in the world (Sarah Palin being number one).

If Hussein’s Politburo thinks that Coakley will lose why did he come here?

There is probably some internal poling that shows the base will be more wee-wee'd at Obama if he didn't at least try to support her than if he let her go down with the Oldsmobile in Poucha Pond and didn't vote "present".

CNN.

It's a Politbureau release designed to make us complacent.

No credibility. Ignore it.

exactly, these “reports” are designed to get the Brown supporters to relax and think it is in the bag. I really hope people are not falling for it.

They’re playing the expectations game. If she loses, they’ll say they expected it and pass it off as nothing significant. If she wins, they’ll say that she overcame all odds to do so and will claim it as a bellwether for the nation as a whole.

Not so fast, Brown has not won yet.

No doubt but you better believe there are other dem members up for re-election this year that aren't fortunate to live in such a blue state as MA and they are paying close attention. If this is even close, we may still be able to kill this bill with members quaking in their boots right now at the thought of losing what should have been pretty safe seats.

They won't trust him anyway. He's no Ronald Reagan. The truth is Obama has negative coattails. But they're too dumb to learn that about a guy they're blindly following over the cliffs to their own end. Just stunning, really.

Any predictions on Olbermann and Mathews?? I would enjoy a live Hari-Kari exhibition. Or maybe they will just do a swan dive off the roof.

Yup. I'll never understand the pre-mature celebrations while the game is still in play; and that includes the swearing in process.

Be careful, this may be a game.
They may have good polling data
and know that she will win, ( there
are probably schemes in place to make sure
it happens) and then they can say how
Obama made it happen.

Let them try to blame Coakley exclusively. It won’t wash with any Democratic member of the House or Senate. Politicians, for the most part, are singularly self-absorbed persons.

I don’t trust these fools, they may be saying it to boost dem turnout.

Agreed. And it also serves to distance The 0ne from the loss because he showed up, estimated the situation and declared it "lost" in advance in case it turns out that way. Then he looks smart. At least to gullible idiots.

At least he has his national priorities right.

I can’t wait for the post election finger pointing by the Dems.

"The presidential advisers have grown increasingly pessimistic in the last three days about Coakley's chances after a series of missteps by the candidate, sources said.

No waiting my friend. It's all right there. "She ran a horrible campaign..." "She was a bad candidate..." This is Massachusetts for crying out loud! A corpse with a "D" after it's name could win in MA. It's all about Obama and health care reform being jammed down our throats. Where's that pic with a Tea Partyer holding that sign telling that if they ram it down our throats we'll...?

Yes, our side is sounding kind of silly and childish
“ oh, boy, ha ha” etc.
Keep working and be careful and skeptical.
