If you’ve been a Democrat for more than two or three years, disappointment with your leaders is something that comes rather naturally. From the 1970s until well into the previous decade, the party produced presidents and presidential candidates like Jimmy Carter, Michael Dukakis, and John Kerry. These men weren’t lovable losers. They were just losers. Even the lone winner among them--Bill Clinton--famously and infamously found ways to disappoint.

Obama was NOT elected for his leadership skills, his ability to handle changing conditions or his ability to work with people. He wasn’t elected for those attributes because he had no demonstratable experience with those situations.
He WAS elected because he campaigned well and because of white guilt. Neither of those attributes serve him well as a leader.

When O got elected I wrote that the barking dog has finally caught the school bus its been chasing, and we are now about to see what he can actually do with it. It was a slick illusion pulled off by the best Hollywood tricks that can be bought. He said nothing and used language that allowed everyone to fill in their own ideas of what he was. None of you would listen as those of us who saw throguh this tried to warn you. You called us racist and other assorted nasty adjectives. But, Obama did not fool anybody.
