Hayworth is not running yet, so this poll is worthless. I think he ought to run, while acknowledging Sarah Palin as a good force for conservatives. I’m sure Sarah is more in line with Hayworth’s thinking than of McCain, but she probably feels an obligation toward McCain.

Probably? She owes him big time and this is simply political payback. If it weren't for him there would be no Sarah PAC and we wouldn't have Sarah. You, marvlus, understand it, but many short sighted FReepers do not. There's also the fact that Sarah believes, as stated on Beck's radio show yesterday, that McCain (among others) might be coming around to a rightward turn in his thinking due to the Tea Party movement.

Agreed. She can't support a man who hasn't announced a run yet.

It will be interesting to see how she handles this if JD announces a run. Watching her in action will give us a real insight as to what we can expect from her in the future.

"...but she probably feels an obligation toward McCain."

It is McCain that owes HER for carrying his sorry butt over the finish line last year and NOT the other way around.

Cut bait Sarah! Move on from this loser. McLame can only hurt your cause. Besides, he and his family are clearly not in line with your values.

If McCain wins and brings in amnesty, it will be tied to her for helping get him re-elected. The powers that be would love to take her down politically and this could be part of that plan.

McCain is like a political VD.

how is Hayworth going to justify a run if he has to deal with McCain’s $, incumbency power AND Palin? It’s over for him before he starts.
