So Israel, in rejecting Christ, is damned.
That is different than "chosen".
You seem to see an absolute dichotomy
where I don’t believe God sees one.
I have no idea how God is going to work all those parameters out regarding Israel.
Certainly the 144,000 accept Christ and are His Witnesses.
And, I’ve read a fellow living in Israel who insists that the percentage of Messianic Jews now approaches the percentage that God told the OT prophet had not yet bowed to Baal.
I don’t know how God is going to work those issues out.
I believe the Bible—ALL THE BIBLE—whether it always fits my linear logic, or not. I trust God with those mysteries.
I just know that The Jews ARE God’s Chosen.
That HE IS NOT REMOTELY FINISHED WITH THEM AS HIS CHOSEN; AS CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB.
That Salvation is through Christ alone.
That God seems to make a distinction between the Church of Jesus Christ as represented by the thrones of His Disciples vs the Children of Jacob as represented by the thrones of the Patriarchs.
That Christians are GRAFTED into the CHOSEN JEWISH NATION vs the other way around.
That our INHERITANCE THROUGH CHRIST OF ABRAHAM’S BLESSINGS affords us all those blessings—AS ABRAHAM’S SEED BY ADOPTION, BLOOD BROTHERS THROUGH CHRIST’S BLOOD.
Lots of things I don’t know. Those things I do know.
Some folks claim there’s more than 60 ORTHODOX RABBIS in Israel who secretly believe in Jesus as their Messiah.
That is different than "chosen".
There is your opinion. Then we have God telling Israel:
"For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession." (Deut. 7:6)
So, as much as you want to cling to your hate, God has different plans for His people.
Israel, as a nation, will not be damned, but will be brought back to God.
No matter what you would like to see happen to them.
