The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16
Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.
Can I ask a dumb question? Why does the title call him “Dear Reader”?
Thanks for your answer. :-)
Hate to see it creeping back up again - Barry needs to stay down for the whole 10-count.
Teleprompter.
can’t remember who thought of it...someone here on FR...
“Dear Leader” is the moniker given to Kim Jong-Il, the commie dictator of North Korea.
“Dear Reader” is the moniker given to BHO, the commie wanna-be, teleprompter-depedent, wanna-be dictator of the USA.
Thanks so much! It fits perfectly.

Yea, I never understood how he bounces up and down.
I guess he did not open his mouth over the weekend.
He was at -18 a few days ago.
Maybe statistical error accounts for the bobble.
What has he done that has been positive or successful, or even indicated that he has the welfare of the Country at heart????
He could also be called "Dear Licker"
But but but...Anne Thompson of ABC NEWS said this morning that the President is still enjoying overwhelming support from the citizens...only the Congress’ inability to act on health care reform was getting negative response!
The Bradley Effect.
Ignore the day to day variation, and focus on the trend, which is going down. Much of the day to day trend is just statistical noise plus variation due to the effect of the day of week on the probability of getting different population segments.
There is a theory that most middle class soccer mom/soccer dad types are busy on the weekend, while most entitlement dependent couch potatoes are at home and ready to answer the phone on the weekends.
Basically what Rasmussen is showing is that Obamas bad week has has essentially no impact on his poll numbers. He is right back to where he’s been for the last several months.
that seems to be the party line coming from the white house ... Mara Liaison said the same thing on Fox News Sunday.
He will always have a certain percent of loyal followers, which include NPR listeners (elitist types), minorities and socialists. This bloc may keep him at -20 or better.
It’s the 47% overall approval that is most frustrating. Last week did nothing to make that go down.
>> He is right back to where hes been for the last several months <<
Not correct. The average Index value for the month of December was about -14.6. So today’s number (minus sixteen) is still below the December average. And December was lower than November, November was lower than October, etc.
Now to be sure, next week at this time — when we have all the numbers for January — it may turn out that the January average was higher than the December average. It just remains to be seen. But I doubt it.
