Hot Air Blog has published some code from an email received from Ellie Light. Can anyone deciper this?

They’re using a Mozilla based browser to send emails (Mac version.) which could be Safari or Firefox.

Given the fact that it’s a Yahoo account short of getting a subpoena you’re not going to identify the return track.

Am I incorrect?

Wouldn’t this be more appropriately called “email headers” and not source code?

Source code is text in the syntax of a programming languages than can be compiled or interpreted to run a machine.

That stuff is just data.

The thing that is most perplexing, as many others have noted, is that so many papers published THIS particular email. It is the papers that have MORE explaining to do than the sender of the email. Everyone gets spammed. All campaigns, both sides, do form letters of one sort or another. What is odd is that so many papers chose this ONE email. I am not saying that there isn’t value as to who sent it. I am saying that there is more value as to WHY so many papers chose to publish this particular person’s email.
I think we are looking at an “or else” presidency and a lot of papers seem to have gotten the “or else” message.

The two "Received" lines report the route the message took. They report (perhaps based on spoofed input) that Yahoo received the emails from a dynamic (e.g., dialup or internet cafe) account that hooked up to telecomitalia.it.

As has been suggested, is Ellie Light perhaps a name used by Samantha Power.

BTW Samantha Power married Cass Sunstein in 2008, so her name is technically Samantha Power Sunstein. Strangely similar to Ellie Light...(she could have used Sammie Solar Power).

I think the more disturbing question isn’t who Ellie Light is or where she came from, but how so many of her form letters got printed in news publications.

Do you know how many letters they receive and how hard it is just to get one published?
