Just because one has a great college career does not mean he will excel in the NFL.
Take the example of Chris Weinke - hes a Heisman winner, winner of one national championship, played in 3 national championship games, finished his Florida State career with a 323 record and held numerous FSU records including most passing yards in a career and most career touchdown passes.
Take a look at Heisman winners that played QB in the past 10 years - Troy Smith, Matt Leinart, Jason White, Carson Palmer, Eric Crouch, and Chris Weinke.
Not a terribly strong track record there.
