Well, the West Germans probably did it a couple of times following WWII.
I’ve heard that there was a common sign nailed to telephone posts saying:
“EXPORT OR DIE”
Sadly, most of our populace is so soft they can’t see we are slipping
into a place where we’d be wise to follow that advice.
Not if you collapse the currency!
What do we export anymore, besides expertise. And I think we exported all that a generation ago.
