(Washington, DC) Log Cabin Republicans announces six endorsements for the U.S. House and Senate. The organization endorses the following candidates for re-election: Senators Gordon Smith (R-OR) and Susan Collins (R-ME) and Representatives Mary Bono Mack (R-CA), Mark Kirk (R-IL), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) and Christopher Shays (R-CT).
Were proud to endorse these six lawmakers for re-election, said Log Cabin President Patrick Sammon. Theyre strong allies and they have excellent records on issues of basic fairness for gay and lesbian Americans. They have stood with us. We are proud to stand with them during the upcoming campaign. We look forward to helping them win re-election.
These members of Congress represent the future of the Republican Party, said Sammon. They support a unifying agenda and they believe, as we do, that the Republican Party must be a big tent party that welcomes everyone.

Congressman Mark Kirk voted against the anti-family federal marriage amendment. He is the lead Republican co-sponsor of the Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Hate Crimes Prevention Act and supports the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

All uber-liberal RINOs.
Shays? He lost in 2008!
Just as soon have a moderate democrat.
Some in the GOP think backing RINOs will give us the big tent to bring in the independent voters. I disagree. The wins in NJ, VA and Mass recently were by candidates holding GOP ideas more towards the conservative wing of the GOP than the eastern liberal, RINO wing of the party. If we want wins in 2010 and 2012, we should back candidates holding mainly conservative views on the role of government and on social values. We can’t expect purity on all issues, but small government, right to life and low taxes to spur economic growth are very important.

I stopped and started the TV and, of course, noticed that all of the dims jumped up, but as the cameras did a sweep, I noticed that most of the Pubbies side did as well!!!
So much for Republicans being the Party of "Family Values."
It was too hard to pick out which Republicans were standing applauding or even standing at all but it did appear as though most of the section that was in camera view, was up and applauding.
And when that comes out from his divorce records -- which 'the neutral press' will demand to see and make public -- another IL GOP senate candidate will go down in flames (pun intended).
Log Cabin pubbies are as Queer as Senators from Maine and Vermont..
Rainbow RINOs on parade.
Well, now THAT’S odd: folks who like it up the tailpipe endorsing RINO’s intent on giving it to the voters up the tailpipe.
????? Am I missing something here??? Smith lost in 2008, along with Shays, did he not?
Not only are they queer, they're stupid. Gordon Smith? Chris Shays? Uh.... they LOST IN 2008!!!!
OK. Got it. That 2-year-old article thing just didn't register.
Well, now, glad they have this endorsement/support, in which case they don’t need mine.
I live near Chicago, and I volunteer for a conservative U.S. Senate candidate, Don Lowery. Please read his site, www.JudgeLowery4USsenate.com.
Why is this not unexpected with a RINO Navy guy?
