President Obama's economic policies are promoting 'fiscal insanity' that is leading the nation down the path of insolvency, Sen. Judd Gregg (R)-NH told CNBC Monday.
"We're going to get ourselves into deep, deep trouble here if we continue to pursue this course of fiscal insanity, in my opinion," said Gregg, a ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, said in a live interview.
"It's not just this year, which is the issue of stimulus," Gregg added. "It's the year after, it's the year after that and the year after, eight years out the president is projecting a trillion dollar defecit, a trillion dollars every year for the next eight years, that's not acceptable. You just cant do that to this country because you're basically taking us down the road of insolvency."

"If you have a government in place with an inherent antipathy towards the market and capitalism, and I believe this government does, I wish it weren't true, but this is the government of community organizers. They believe in social justice," said Gregg.

Anti-market + anti-capitalism + social justice = communist.
He sees that Obama is driving the nation to insolvency. He needs to realize Obama and the Democrats are deliberately bankrupting America in order to destroy it from within.
But this is a great start. For those who are wondering where the GOP's voice is on Obama's massive deficits, this is encouraging.
There’s no implication, read Obama’s books and it’s the only logical conclusion one can reach.
The time was ripe to attack Obama on the “Bolshevik” thingy.
As usual, we just looked stupid.
I was just thinking how Gregg has come to the forefront since he backed away from the cabinet appointment. Although I don’t know his position on every issue (abortion, gays, etc.) he seems like the kind of guy we need. Is it still his intention not to run for re-election?
“It appears his eyes are now wide open and he all but calls Obama a communist here.”
I think he DOES call him a communist...but he is not.
Excellent post, and it is indeed good to see Gregg speaking up.
income justice
climate justice
healthcare justice
mortgage justice
education justice
jobs justice...
Ubama is all about back-door reparations
What was the response by the CNBC people????
FINALLY>>> OBAMA IS A COMMUNIST!!!! Thank You.
the entire GOP needs to stand up and say this, not the day or hours after the speech - during the speech
enough “listening respectfully” to a blueprint for our destruction
But it depends on how long he gets it!
Good for Gregg! This is a positive sign.
“this is the government of community organizers”
DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!
What do we have for our winner, Johnny?
i agree, i think Gregg's transformation and awakening has been nothing short of remarkable.
He’s a fascist who would be a communist (that is, with the government directly controlling the means of production) if he thought he could get away with it. Instead, he simply crushes industries, and then picks a favorite within that industry and lets it remain as an ostensibly private business, even though it is actually de-facto government-controlled.
It cannot be overstated how dangerous this type of fiscal mismanagement is. It almost makes me throw up thinking about it.
The free market (Capitalism) did not cause this crisis, the government (Socialism/Communism) did.
The free market did not take us off the gold standard, the government did.
The free market did not dump trillions of dollars of cheap money into the system, the government did.
The free market did not create multiple trillion-dollar entitlement programs, the government did.
The free market did not create Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Sallie Mae and Ginnie Mae, the government did.
The free market did not write a tax code that favors one product (real estate) over others, the government did.
The free market did not destroy our public school system and graduate (or fail to graduate) generations of civically and financially illiterate citizens, the government did.
The free market did not pass laws that force banks to lend to those who do not qualify for a loan, the government did.
This crisis is the result of a giant social engineering experiment and vote-buying scheme gone tragically wrong.
The free market does not try to engineer society or buy votes, the government does.
The government caused this crisis, the free market did not.
The government cannot fix the crisis, the free market can.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.
House Minority Whip Clyburn is on FNC now saying that “we must spend our way out of this recession” !!!
“We got to grow the economy. We got to invest in it.”
It would be useful to understand the size of the deficit per taxpayer. That would provide the perspective needed to write a letter to the editor of our local newspapers.
