So true!
Not sure why one would not sing it in a traditional way for the Olympics of all places.
Save the change ups for hockey games.

And I have no doubt the dances are exactly as they were 1000 years ago. Right?

You cannot watch? No TV? I'm using a 1982 Zenith System 3 we bought in 1983. I remember watching the Sarejevo Games as the first Olympics on that set. Can't believe we've been using the same set for 28 years.

Are you following the Olympics on Facebook? They are posting pictures fairly quickly.
To: CharlesWayneCT
Don't worry, it's NBC. They'll be sure you see lots of their favourite personal interest stories, interspersed with small snippets of a rock or two.

Wow, that TV is as old as I am. We gave away all our old TVs when we moved from our Cleveland house.

I just couldn’t imagine what it is like to practice. Imagine a curling guy leaving for practice....”honey, where’s my broom?”

No written history. Who woudl know. But we worship them. And I say that as having full-blooded Blackfoor Indians on both sides of my family. Even had a pic of my Great-Grandmother in her Indian clothing.

And I have no doubt the dances are exactly as they were 1000 years ago. Right?Who said anything about that? You asked if anyone thought they were authentic and I answered. Based on the different indian pow wows I've attended and other indian dancers I've seen at places like Crazy Horse in South Dakota, I think they are authentic.

Is it me? Or has Canada been really frugal with these Opening Ceremonies?
I suppose China would be hard to compete with.....
