The biggest battle between Heyworth and McCain figures to be over immigration policy.

Bring it! I am now a little more than halfway through JD's book, "Whatever it Takes" which, if you didn't know, is actually about illegal immigration. I think it makes a little more sense now why he was ousted from his seat...there are many, many people who have a vested interest in keeping the status quo going on the whole illegal thing. JD doesn't pull any punches in the book, and I think he also ticked off Karl Rove at one point.

Go, JD!

I don’t think he would have lost if he hadn’t been gerrymandered into the University of Arizona, Tempe district.

I've heard JD joke a few times about how he was person non grata at the Bush White House after Bush and Rove started their amnesty push in 2006. Bush and Rove did huge damage to the party after the 2004 elections.

Yes, I read Whatever It Takes a couple of years ago. Got it through the Conservative Book Club.
