As authorities searched for clues into what could have sent a University of Alabama neurobiology professor on an alleged killing spree, friends and family yesterday described Braintree native Amy Bishop as an awkward introvert on the brink of losing her teaching job.
Bishops husband, James Anderson, told the Herald his wife had been fighting the university for over a year about a tenure denial, and several months ago received a final decision. She was upset, but not overly emotional, approaching her appeal like a game of chess, he said.
Police in Huntsville, Ala., charged Bishop, 44, with capital murder after she allegedly opened fire on six colleagues at a faculty meeting Friday, killing three. Afterward, she calmly called her husband and asked him to pick her up as if nothing had happened, said police Chief Henry Reyes.
She was an oddball - just not very sociable, said Sylvia Fluckiger, a former lab technician who worked with Bishop in 1993.
Bishop acknowledged at the time being questioned in the bombing attempt of a Harvard medical doctor evaluating her on doctorate work, a professor with whom Bishop was known to quarrel, Fluckiger said.
Reyes confirmed he is working with the FBI to learn more about why Bishop was a suspect in the attempted bombing of Dr. Paul Rosenberg, who received a double-pipe bomb in the mail on Dec. 19, 1993. He ran from his Newton home with his wife, escaping without injury. The bomb never exploded.

There is about the same chance of the msm acknowledging that she is an obama worshipper as there is that the sun will rise in the west Tuesday morning. In fact, if I were to bet on either happening, my money would be on the sun rising in the west.

Good one!
If shooting doesn't work, Chet99 said I should sic my pitbull on them.
ehem....bothers me
Yeah, I have somebody like that in my family (through marriage) here in Massachusetts. A real certifiable left-wing whack-job. She's been especially insufferable since the 2008 elections and still sports Bush-hating bumper stickers on her beat-up car. My nickname for her is Debbie Downer (after the SNL skit) because no matter what you say to her, she turns it into a depressing left-wing rant. She actually seems to believe that everything wrong in the world can be tied back to George Bush, Dick Cheney and Haliburton (or a combination thereof).
However, at a family gathering a couple weeks ago, she was utterly apoplectic over the fact that Scott Brown defeated Martha Coakley for the senate race here. I mean she was literally ready to break into tears when the topic came up. I was loving every minute of it.
I guess I need to watch my back...those folks are crazy and come November, they are going to be even crazier!

Sounds like her checkmate was based on a pretty solid strategy.
“Just after the shooting, she called and asked him to pick her up, Anderson told the Chronicle. She never mentioned the shooting, he said.”

I noticed that the quote about her obsession with ObaMAO comes almost at the very end of the piece.
I saw those Rate My Professor posts and wondered if she might also have targeted Prof. Adcock. But he or she was not on the victim list.
I have a relative like that. And the funniest part of it is that he works for Haliburton!
Thanks for the ping!

Merge that with this, and it looks like a new kind of snow is falling on DC ...
BILL DELAHUNT: Why Did You Put Amy Bishop Back On The Street?

[Democrat congressman]
[Back to the old tagline — getting crammed.]
This sounds like the ideal warning labels that conservatives should tag each and every liberal candidate, program or cause!!!
