Yes, and child rapists sometimes save people from liquor store robberies.

The numbers say that pit bulls are a menace to everyone around them — family as well as others.

How do you mean? I’m just going to post the positive since so much is on the negative. Poor dogs can’t get a break.

Anecdotes are just that.

Hows about some facts?

According to the Clifton study, pit bulls, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios and their mixes are responsible for 74% of attacks that were included in the study, 68% of the attacks upon children, 82% of the attacks upon adults, 65% of the deaths, and 68% of the maimings. In more than two-thirds of the cases included in the study, the life-threatening or fatal attack was apparently the first known dangerous behavior by the animal in question.

A it bull is a loaded gun when no one in the house knows gun control.

Proper gun handling can be taught and learned. Guns don't arbitrarily shoot people without help.

Pit bulls are not the same and you shame yourself by making the comparison. Unless you want to encourage the gun-grabbers by making their argument that guns are as dangerous and unpredictable as pit bulls.

From a Clifton Study? Is that as reliable as a Al Gore climate study? Like a Pomeranian? Here are the facts from the same source: ■Any dog, treated harshly or trained to attack, may bite a person. Any dog can be turned into a dangerous dog. The owner or handler most often is responsible for making a dog into something dangerous. ■An irresponsible owner or dog handler might create a situation that places another person in danger by a dog, without the dog itself being dangerous, as in the case of the Pomeranian that killed the infant ■Any individual dog may be a good, loving pet, even though its breed is considered to be potentially dangerous. A responsible owner can win the love and respect of a dog, no matter its breed. One cannot look at an individual dog, recognize its breed, and then state whether or not it is going to attack.

There were 35 dog fatalities in total in the USA in 2007

There were an estimated 6,420,000 cars involved in accidents in the US in 2005. The cost of these accidents exceeds 230+ Billion dollars. There were about 2.9 million injury cases and 42,636 car accident deaths.(http://www.car-accidents.com/)

So your logic is what? Squirrel poop that's what.
