Leaving aside the question of whether McCain should be reelected (he should not) I wish to state that I DON’T WANT THE FEDERAL LEGISLATURE ENACTING MORE LAWS OR ATTEMPTING TO “FIX” THINGS. I WANT THEM TO START REPEALING LAWS, CUTTING PROGRAMS, DOWNSIZING GOVERNMENT AND LEAVING ALL THE “PRESSING” PROBLEMS THEY ARE SO EAGER TO MEDDLE WITH TO THE PEOPLE TO RESOLVE EITHER ON THEIR OWN INITIATIVE OR THROUGH THEIR LOCAL OR STATE GOVERNMENTS.

We don’t need a 10 point plan of what should be done unless it is a plan to dismantle the top 10 most useless and expensive federal programs and/or departments.

“McCain said that the GOP would craft a list of 10 legislative pledges which they would seek to enact within the first 60 days of taking back control of Congress,”

....right....after just uttering this nonsense:

““Mr. Hayworth falsely said today that Senator McCain supports amnesty when in fact Senator McCain has never supported amnesty, and continues to fight every day to secure our borders first and find solutions to solve our immigration problem.”

Don’t forget # 11....McCain’s newly introduced legislation to prevent us from freedom of choice in dietary supplements.

McCain strikes another blow to freedom! Legislation alert!

[snip]John McCain spent the last 8 years campaigning for president. The only things he managed to involve himself with were investigating doping in sports, pushing an amnesty that his base didn’t want and humiliating everyone on the conservative side of politics.

But no, that’s not enough for John. Now he’s introduced S 3002.
The bill is touted as a protection against natural supplement products, but fails to provide safety and implements only more expensive regulation and takes your freedom of choice.

Natural Solutions Foundation puts it this way:
McCain anti-DSHEA Bill a Clear and Present Threat to Health Freedom

Bill filed as Senate Bill S 3002. Follow it at: http://www.thomas.gov and search for that bill number.
Update: http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?p=4615#2

McCain’s senate speech introducing this monstrosity Feb. 3, 2010.

There Should only be 1 point with 10 Amendments in this platform! It has already been written quite awhile ago.

Ahem! Couldn’t we find somebody a little more conservative to lay out our platform? Please?

I just saw another thread describing how GOP Chairman Michael Steele will be meeting with 50 top Tea Party organizers.

You don’t suppose the GOP might actually get this one RIGHT for a change, do you?

“I wonder if any Democrat is waking up to the fact that with McCain as President and the present Congress, most of their agenda would already be signed into law?”

They attacked Bush too and he was almost entirely on their side.

I guess they just aren’t very smart.

Attention Republican Party....DO NOT LISTEN TO the RINO’S!! You can NOT on one hand court the TEA PARTIES and then court RINO’S. Picking McCain was the “Country Club” Republicans and Libs Idea....and we LOST BADLY! Do NOT repeat this mistake!! We have the chance to take Back Congress in 2010 and maybe the White House in 2012....BO is way down in the polls....We need to offer conservative solutions as an alternative to Barry’s ultra leftist agenda......
