Sadly, too many of our old guard Republicans seem to lack the fire and passion newer and younger ones have, in either house. Or, if they have it they keep it well hidden.

Gov Ed on This Week says if R's just say no at health summit the entire trajectory of elections will swing in Democrat's favor. LOL.

Great post Miss Marple. You missed the mark a bit on Colin Powell though. I lot of us knew Powell was a politician long before he took off his uniform.

Petraeus supports closing Gitmo - Good Grief, another PC victim!

Not so much PC as a Cost/Benefit analysis of putting troops in a position of following orders without any hope of support from The O or anyone in the administration.

Also, the very first time one of those dirtbags at Gitmo decides to whine about so much as feeling mild distress, the witchhunt for My Lai II will break into full gear, every troop who ever served or heard of Gitmo will get served up for the Royal Inquisition that follows, Petraeus knows it and he's just trying to get his people out of the line of fire.

That worked so well for the libs during 'Nam, why not have a sequel?

Granholm just claimed that the people of Massachussetts love Romneycare, that’s news to me?

Haley Barbour is absolutely the best in making points succinctly and yet completely. He was a huge part of the “Gingrich revolution.” I’d love to see him back in the national debate.

Paul would have to change. His ideas on foreign policy are down right dangerous at this time. We cannot simply withdraw from the world, and to think doing so, without repercussions that would seriously hurt us, is naive at best and folly at worst.

My thinking is that Paul will never change. He thinks he's right on this issue, I think he's wrong.

I do to. Gov. Barbour says federal govt could take some lessons from some state govts and cut budgets vs increasing spending.

MTP showing Pawlenty at CPAC comparing voters to Tiger Wood’s wife:

It’s time we said “enough is enough” and took a nine iron an smashed the windshield out of big government.

Lays out Republican positions loud and clear.

Pawlenty (who I am not overly fond of) does a very good job handling Gregory who desperately wants him to validate what Ozero has done with (to, actually) our economy.

David is reading from the questions that Rahm faxed to him.

Recently, when Haley was asked if he would run for president, he joked that if we see him losing 40 pounds, we’d know that he was planning to run. LOL

Yep, from now on when old guard Republicans are invited on a show, they should decline and send a substitute

Agreed, but not all of them. Ron Paul is right on states rights versus federal programs. Paul is right in wanting an audit of the Federal Reserve, along with branches of government. That’s two I can agree with him on. With the mood at CPAC and around the nation over the national debt and deficit, I can understand Paul polling well this time around.

Yes, I misjudged him. I knew he was a bit of a politician (all generals are, except for Patton), but I didn’t know he was a weaseling backstabber.
