Caller Turned on This Program Because Obama Said Not to Listen
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_021910/content/01125113.guest.html
RUSH: No. I am Bill O’Reilly. What do you think of me? Tell me where I’ve gone wrong today.
CALLER: Oh, he does say that a lot.
RUSH: Look, all I’m telling you is that we’ve gotta give socialism a fair shake for the folks, I’m not going to sit here and condemn it like these right-wingers are. We’ve gotta give socialism a fair shake, and we hear at The Factor are going to give socialism, even communism, a fair shake. We’ll do an in-depth investigation, and we’ll report back because we’re not knee-jerking, and we are looking out for you, the folks.
CALLER: I hear what you’re saying, and when it comes to getting actual news, I don’t get that from Bill O’Reilly, I get that from, well, it used to be Brit Hume, now Bret Baier —
RUSH: Well, we just don’t like all this Obama bashing here at The Factor, that’s for these extreme right-wingers, this Obama bashing, it’s not productive, the Bush-bashing wasn’t productive. We’re going to give socialism and the destruction of the country a fair examination, and if we determine that Obama’s destroying the country, we’ll report it fairly.
Well, that’s where the stimulus money went... to state and federal employees.
Private sector doesn’t need stimulous. Lower taxes and less interference in business would do the trick.
Just divide by four and take times your family. In my case, the COBRA would have been $640 a month for a single.
I was able to hear Rector speak. It was excellent. He is very knowledgeable. So is Kirkorian who was so instrumental in beating back amnesty in the last go-round.
I was not as impressed with Linda Chavez who just can’t seem to let go of the idea that opposition to illegal immigration is anti-Mexican, which is ridiculous.
Sure we have our goofy and corrupt members, because we are all human beings, and the GOP gets bad apples from time to time. But corruption is not a hallmark of our party. Since 1968 we have been the ONLY party to stand up for smaller government, lower taxes, less spending, and a strong national defense. Some years we have done this better than others, but the GOP has been the one party who stood up for those things. (And I am not even getting into the social issues, for which we have been stalwarts as well.)
Beck's foolish or malicious (take your choice on motive) lumping of the two parties together encourages naive people to look to a third party, or to stay home and not vote. I resent that he does this, and I wish everyone would remember that he (by his own admission) JUST STARTED READING HISTORY and is only a radio and TV talk show host, not the font of all knowledge about government.
Yep, Socialism is still rampant as Pawlenty has governed Minnesota as a bench-warmer for Democrats. Minneapois is Moneyapolis to those who want great welfare benefits is what I’ve heard, and seen...
;)
I saw your vanity post the other day.
I watched the Beck show to which you referred. What shocked me was how Beck lumped the “Birthers” and the “Truthers” into one group.
I thought, originally, that you were mistaken. As I read the other posts I realized that Beck did, indeed, say that.
Oh please. Normal folks who every time they want a passport, make a government application, or apply for a driver’s license and MUST produce a birth certificate who question the Presidential position in this country not requiring any proof of birth in this country are comparable to nuts who think Bush, who they called dumb as a rock regularly, somehow managed to orchestrate all the events of 9-11 without anyone finding out about it in advance?
I think Beck’s been hanging around with O’Reilly too long. O’Reilly does this sort of stuff. O’Reilly isn’t really liked by most loyal Fox viewers, he rides along on his juicy time slot and how he gloms onto anyone else on Fox with some fame, now this being Beck. So O’Reilly needs to try and obtain some great “gets” and to do so he has to act like he’s all impartial, that he respects the other side.
It’s an act.
Rush did a great imitation of O’Reilly the other day. He did it quickly, on the fly, so fast I bet a lot of people missed it. But it was perfect as only Rush could do.
And you believe that health care will NOT be limited with the government take over?
Get thee to drug treatment!!!!
All we are getting with Governors Ahnold and Rendell are a couple of liar trying to convince us that Ozero is just a great guy and has very effective ideas.
Christie.........yes!
And the whining is a beautiful thing.
As he said, everyone who knows about his years as a federal prosecutor knows he is no wallflower.
With the understanding Democrats are going to mandate Parents have insurance on their 20 something child
Ahnold, you might just ask yourself why some policies fail over and over instead of just doubling down.
I think he said that the government ought to do what Elin Woods did to Tiger’s car, take a 9-iron to big spending.
It was lamer than hell, yes it was.
Seems the big thing this year is to somehow compare the government and various enemies to Tiger Woods.
Original thought being a casualty in all this I must consider.
LOL. Ahnold thinks people are angry because they are not getting along in DC and Sacramento.
Does Beck think a Democrat is going to ‘change’? He never squealed so loud when Republicans had majorities and the Presidency
That was the CPAC sponsored panel on immigration. Rector spoke on both panels, theirs and ours. We recorded ours, which I will provide a link on FR when it is ready. We went for almost 2 and one half hours, about an hour over the assigned time. Rector was furious that he couldn’t get an opportunity to challenge Chavez more.
It was my rep, Mike Castle, who also supported Cap and Trade.
I will never forgive him for that. Castle is a Republican too.
Now Castle is running for Joe Biden’s Senate seat.
I will NOT vote for him. I won’t vote for his opponent but everyone has a point and my point was when Castle betrayed me for the l a s t d a m n t i m e.
I will really look forward to that, kabar.
I noticed that Chavez had her introducer mention that her family had been here since before Jamestown. It was just so obvious.
Chavez is an idiot who operates from emotion, not facts.
In his speech he said, quickly so much that it might have passed by unnoticed...that it is NOT America's job to go installing Democracies around the world, that we should teach Democracy by example.
Then he went on but I caught it, yes I did. It was a slap against our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and it was yet another alignment with the Ron Paulbots. Dubya's whole mantra about Iraq was that by removing the fine, fine Saddamn we would put in a Democracy that would be a first time in the Muslim world. Beck's comment is a slap in the face to that effort.
Like I said...I don't trust Beck. He makes some great points and his speech was great, but he's not on the same page as a lot of us, I suggest softly, as regards foreign policy.
Think Ron Paul. Think IRAN.
