Donating directly to the candidates also diminishes the voices of those contributing, though it does help the candidate.

One alternative, if we don’t want to support the GOP, might be to form/donate to PAC’s that represent our interests. This would give the contributors a greater voice and more influence in the “Halls OF Power”..... just a thought.

That's always an option.

My hope is that down the line the GOP will bump the rinos and other nummers from positions of power and become a conservative entity again.

Re donations: Bayh is retiring with $13 million in campaign funds. How does that happen??? Were people throwing money at him that he did not even have to spend in his last campaign? Do all senators have that kind of money in “war chests?”
