Mark Levin ping!
I had the same idea that Beck may be trending towards trying to validate a third party that will be a total disaster for conservatives.
He’s described Beck exactly. The guy drives me nuts (Beck) and lately it seems like he’s EVERYWHERE.
So, how different are the Birchers from the Paulbots?
My husband says he’s attracting young people to conservatism. Beck isn’t for me, either is Hannity. But, I believe, their purpose is to attract people to conservatism, so, in that respect, go for it. But, us true blue conservatives must help our kids along this path and guide them to our founding. IMO, there are too many who have jumped on this bandwagon. We just need to bring them up to speed once they’ve been introduced to the ‘generic’ message.
Mark Levin is da man!
Beck is out for money and I question his sincerity in his outbursts.
Levin’s history is wrong. Goldwater didn’t “chase” the Birchers away. In fact, he welcomed their support despite much pressure to denounce them. I’m not surprising that Levin likes Beck....he such an establishment conservative. I suspect his candidate is Romney.
I thought Beck’s speech was impassioned and had many great points. I do not agree with his theory that we need a third party, if that’s what he advocates. He(and his research staff)are good at pointing out problems: progressivism, radical czars, etc. But I’ve never heard him mention Reagan on his show as he did last night with such glowing praise!, The Republican party is still the best vehicle we have for winning elections. They need to solidly reject the Rino generated “big tent” and “reach across the aisle” formulas for success. Getting back to core Conservative principles is the only lasting solution.
Where is the Gipper when we need him??
Excellent!
Another.. MUST HEAR .. FANTASTIC speech by
Mark Levin, at the Churchill dinner at Hillsdale
College in December. He brings all that’s
happening now into total focus.
Lord, protect us.

The Birchers were the reason why I decided that the $50 I would have spent for a Saturday only pass would be better spent somewhere else.
Thanks for posting the thread! Now I’m going to catch up reading through it....
Beck has an “entertainment” edge to his TV show and he is
a bit “all over tne place” but he is pushing the right philosophy in general.
That’s for the PING Tim...
Mark is still The Great One...
:)
Thanks for the ping :) I just finished reading many of the posts on the thread and see we’re still having our lively debate on who the REAL conservatives are and are not!
I’m fed up with Beck- have been for quite awhile -so I agree with both Bennett and Levin in this instance.
He’s self-absorbed and unstable and I worry he’s becoming more of a laughing-stock than someone to be taken seriously.
When a recovering alcoholic forgets the “anonymous” in Alcoholics Anonymous- trouble is sure to follow.

I’ve read through many of the posts here and come away with this conclusion; Each of them has a place in informing/educating the populace with regards to what has/is happening to our country.
I view Mark as more of the college professor and Glenn as the Middle/High School teacher.
Different types of presentations to their respective audiences.
I don’t watch Glenn too much, listen to Mark whenever I can, have read Liberty and Tyranny.
The point I’m trying to make I guess, is that there is room for both as long as their purpose is to inform/educate about the original liberties and constitutional values we conservatives hold dear.
Levin is another pseudo-conservative(small c). And I don’t think Beck has to fit into any specific category—repub, demo, etc. He has a right to have disdain both parties for their liberal nonsense. The Repub party got what it deserved during the last election—how could it have nominated Mcain?!! Beck is awesome! Makes O’Reilly and his blonde chickies look foolish.
Beck is defintely a lightweight. His junior high facial histrionics are not funny.
