Newly-seated Republican Sen. Scott Brown (Mass.) on Monday joined Democrats in voting to end debate on their $15 billion jobs bill.

Brown crossed the aisle after Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) nixed an $85 billion, bipartisan plan in favor of a more narrowly-focused bill.

“Bill Bennett and Seth are literally cheerleading for McCain. I had to turn them off this morning, it was absolutely disgusting.”

I heard it and turned it off, too. They are doing everything they can to carry water for McShame.

Dumb and dumber.

And except for collins, snowe, and voinovich, he was the only republican smart enough to be bi partisan and vote for the bill?

Give me a break. He is facile with the rationalizations but he’s a moderate at best.

His cohorts in voting Yes are quite revelatory aren’t they. Or do you believe they are the smart ones and everyone else is stupid.

Why in hell do people on FR throw a fit every time an Independent turns out not to be a hardcore conservative in everything they say and do?

Certain FReepers feel their own views should be followed 100% by everyone ... and if not ... they are not real conservatives. Fortunately for the rest of us, they have no more say/power or influence than the rest ...

FreeRepublic is just like any other public forum, half the posters are unintelligent politically deaf ding-bats, and the other half are great people with plenty of intelligence, class and information.

Being as your an original member of FR ... You know what Im talking about 100%.

Big deal. He voted for a jobs bill.

It is to half these "perfect conservatives".

People moan and cry when Politicians flip flop back and forth.

The past year I've watched more FReepers flip flop back and forth in their support for certain people or issues, So much so that they remind one of a group of middle school or high school students playing the friend shuffle ... (Person A is my friend this week, but Person B is not ... Next week Person B is my friend and Person A is not.)

Its the same old here ... Independents/Moderates are the enemy ... they are to blame for everything ... And the Liberals and the MSM ??? Who are they?

Glenn Beck was right in his CPAC speech.

The same Glen Beck that a good number of "perfect" FReepers turned on and trashed the other day in another thread ...

It's kinda sad around here lately ... way to much flip-flopping ...

Are we being divided and conquered over a lesser issue?

People seem very confident that JD will prevail. He must raise a lot of money to counter McCains lies on the radio though.

“he went right for the juglar and McCain’s vote for TARP — and not even so much TARP, but that fact there was an additional $150 Billion in PORK attached to this bill.. and now McCain is trying to claim he was duped, but all that does is show him as dumb and dumber...”

McCain came away from this looking like the fool that he is ;-)

Honestly, should we blame Scott Brown or blame ourselves for thinking he was on-board? We didn’t know this guy and someone remind me again what state he’s representing?

“Hope it helped, I see the usual suspects are now angry at JD because of his statement about Obama... however JD is running a tightly-focused campaign and concentrating on Immigration, Spending and Cap n Trade, he is mindful that he is running against John McCain, not Obama... I wish others here would keep that in mind.”

This removes the plan that McCain had. McCain was going to spend millions painting JD as an “over the top right wing fringe candidate”
It was the only real weapon McCain could come up with(albeit a phony one).

"Government is too big and that the federal stimulus bill made government bigger instead of creating jobs"

Hmmm, maybe he didn't realize all they did was change the name of the Stimulus bill to the Jobs bill.

He voted for a jobs bill.

There is no such thing. Jobs don't come from a bill. Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of the free market should understand that.

Senator Playgirl voted for a spending bill, plain and simple.

That Scott Brown voted for the Spend Your Neighbor's Money and Grow Government As Big as Possible Before Obama's Term is Over bill is less of a problem than that my local conservative, Christian radio station (and thousands of other radio stations) reported in their newscasts that "the House passed the Jobs bill."

We MUST begin calling our local radio and newspapers to task for blindly repeating what the Associated Press and other liberal national and international news sources write for them to read and print.
