A would-be car thief picked the wrong ride to steal - and it cost him his life.
Yaosse Agbokou, 50, was choked to death when ex-Marine Daillard Paris caught him trying to steal his Nissan Altima in Queens Saturday night, police said.
Paris, 28, who is 6-feet-3 and weighs 240 pounds, was questioned by cops. But he was not charged in the death, which the medical examiner ruled a homicide caused by "compression of the neck."

“Some knucklehead named Radley is criticizing the marine for use of force.”
As opposed to the knuckleheads here on FR who, if it were a cop instead of a Marine, would be calling for the head of the cop and post how cops are no different than Nazis...F**cking hypocrites.
Thanks for an absolutely perfect post.
and heart stopping.
He obliged! ;-)
Ah yes, the old “naked stranglehold” gets ‘em every time.
There is no such thing as a “former” Marine. You have Active Duty Marine, Marine Reservist, Marine Veteran, and Ex-Marine.
Both North and Murtha are Marine veterans, as they both were honorably discharged. You can not take honorable service away from a person; that doesn’t change the fact that Murtha was a D-Bag to the Nth degree, though.
An ex-Marine would be some one who was dis-honorably discharged, or given an OTH.
Just my 2 cents.
Oh, absolutely! I hug mine everyday. My oldest is leaving for boot camp in September.
Tht he did.
The Olympic Judges rate it a perfect 10 score.
So we have 1 less thief and Obama voter. A good news day.
Citizens here in Washington State can use much more force than a cop can in the same situation. Interesting that the guy died while in police custody.
I have the picture in my mind of the Marine holding him by the neck up in the air with one hand while dialing 911 with the other. “Okay, I’ll hold on - but you better get here quick.”
Your ex Marine was not a real Marine.....he was a reservist.
It's a bit tough to figure out which "he" is which. The "he's a good person" may be Francis talking about Paris. Then again, maybe not.
Bet his boss doesn't give him any unearned crap!
Incorrect.
Keep your two cents.
Have another cup of coffee chief. Murtha did indeed serve on active duty in the Corps.
I bet that’s the last car this perp ever tries to steal.
LOL!
“Still got your Malibu?”
“Aw, man. You know what some ****er did the other day?”
“What?”
“****ing keyed it.”
“Oh, man, that’s ****ed up.”
“Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some ****less piece of **** ****ed with it.”
“They should be ****ing killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.”
“Boy, I wish I could’ve caught him doing it. I’d have given anything to catch that ***hole doing it. It’d been worth him doing it just so I could’ve caught him doing it.”
“What a ****er!”
“What’s more chicken**** than ****ing with a man’s automobile? I mean, don’t **** with another man’s vehicle.”
“You don’t do it.”
“It’s just against the rules.”
Just because answers.com says it's acceptable, doesn't mean it is correct.
I'll keep my two cents, as you suggest, and you can keep your snarky responses.
