IN one college job I had, I put a noose in an electronics cabinet that I was later going to fill up with equipment. On another occasion, I hung a bowl upside down and put a chair in the cabinet, so it looked like an electric chair.
Fortunately, nobody thought these acts were racist.
One of these days one of these hoaxes will trigger the “Uhuru” option on one of these campuses. All thruout the left there are little sadistic instigators for violence, who want one of their mindless minions to take the next step in “progressive” politics and eliminate the opposition. Yesterday on his blog Jim Kuntsler wrote a lurid fantasy of bashing in the heads of the GOP congressional and senate leadership at the health care confab.
I wonder if Al Sharpton was in-flight to San Diego in his private jet. Did he get the news?
This story came on the heels of the ‘Compton Campout’ story.
The Compton Cookout...NOT what the Media reported!

[snip]A Black man, an entertainer named Jiggaboo Jones, who is just a bit tired of the race baiting by the media and Jesse Jackson types with headlines such as this, “Outrage over ‘Compton Cookout’ at UCSD”. See Mr. Jones explanation of all this here.
For us detail-deprived, when and how did Ann Coulter comment on this?
Obviously nothing will happen to the student who placed the rope. This means that laws are applied selectively, according to the race of the accused.
Why do you think cotton balls would be racist?
Jim Kunstler. Any relation to William Kunstler, the commie lawyer? BTW I ran into the latter in 1985 on the PATH train from WTC to Hoboken. What a sad sack of scat.
I KNEW it!
lol
I think that is pretty funny actually, and I would think it was just as funny to dump loads of clover in front of the irish student association.
People need to get a grip.
Are you saying that cotton somehow is more racist to dump in front of a black place rather than in front of a southern white place?
You do realize there were more whites picking cotton than there were blacks, don’t you?
And you know there were thousands of black slave OWNERS.
Cotton is a symbol of the south, it’s not owned as a symbol of racism by blacks.
I said it would be more racist, not that it would necessarily be racist. Cotton balls are clearly meant to remind black students that blacks used to be slaves, picking cotton. Unless you can think of some other meaning for cotton balls to be dropped there.
In contrast, the noose is not generally a symbol of “black lynching”, which in fact was a rare occurance. It has been used instead in horror movies to symbolize a death considered gruesome (even though it’s not if done right), and used as a symbol of frontier justice — and kids learn to tie nooses because it’s funny to hold a noose up, (in a perverse way) just as it’s funny to make a “cutting your throat” slash move with a finger.
Each Halloween, I have skeletons hanging by nooses. They aren’t racist.
I hope this explains why I think cotton balls are a more racist symbol than a noose.
He makes no mention of it, so I doubt that he is.
Yes, and she linked this article on her website!
Thanks Ann for being Soooooo Right!
QUOTATIONS FROM CHAIRMAN ANN March 2, 2010, 2:39 PM LAT: Minority Student apologizes for noose in UC San Diego library - FREEREPUBLIC: Ann Coulter, Right Again
Ditto!
Besides, one wouldn't want a good noose to go too waste.
You are so right!
no ... I said the exact opposite... that I thought it was harmless fun.
Heck, Ann Coulter’s right about 99% of the time, that other 1% being me the atheist in love with her, even if she is a Christian. I had pegged the noose as a plant, too, and while we saw a bunch of screamers on TV protesting that, I doubt like hell that the lamestream media will report that this was just another plant by a minority, hoping to stir up fear, angst, and hatred.

Claremont Hate Crime Called Hoax
LA Times (FR thread) | March 17. 2004 | Joy Buchanan, Kristina Sauerwein and Stuart Silverstein
A week after a reported campus hate crime drew national attention, sparked protests and shut down the prestigious Claremont Colleges, police on Wednesday called the incident a hoax staged by a professor who slashed tires, shattered windows and spray-painted racist graffiti on her own car.
Claremont McKenna College psychology professor Kerri Dunn, who had told police that her car was vandalized as she spoke at a March 9 forum on racism, was identified by two eyewitnesses as the person who damaged the auto, authorities said Wednesday.
Professor Kerri Dunn vandalized her own car and then led "Stop The Hate" rallies on campus.
