John Roberts, Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, is seriously considering stepping down from the nation’s highest court for personal reasons, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Roberts, known for his conservative judicial philosophy, has served on the Supreme Court since 2005, having been nominated by President George W. Bush after the death of former Chief William Rehnquist.

RadarOnline.com has been told that Roberts, 55, could announce his decision at any time.

The decision paves the way for President Barack Obama to make his second appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court following his first, Sonia Sotomayor.

You also need to laugh at the morons on this site who believe a false rumor and are having a fit about it.

I still don’t know that it is fake..all we know so far is that people are saying basically “it’s news to me” as in they haven’t heard anything about it.

Drudge had it at the top of his byline..and it is something we all need to be aware of as a possiblity until we hear from Roberts HIMSELF that it isn’t true.

Seizures? Is that all?!?

Half the Justices are semi-comatose and require staff to sign their own names.

Dear Chief Justice Roberts...please don't retire until the first anniversary of your death.

I am sure after the State of the Union and Roberts confronting the anointed one, the Dems are trying to do a “dirt search” on him.

I am sure this rumor was put out by the Dems after someone threatened Roberts on putting some dirt out in public on him unless he resigned.

This is the silent Civil War that we are in right now. Obama is in the battle taking over everything via Pearl Harbor attack. Are we going to engage???

It’s only a rumor until Roberts makes a statement.

This is a stupid tabloid site do you want to post crap from the national inquirer as well?

The National Enquirer is up for a Pulitzer Prize for breaking the Jon Edwards story.

This would be a tipping point, the tipping point for this country. All I can think of that would make him step down are serious illness in his wife or a child. If he had a early dementia or someting like that. Or blackmail.

If this is the worst, what did folks expect Roberts to do. He’s been hemmed in.

Oy, I certainly did NOT need to see this headline. I’d rather lose my left arm than see this happen.

A gossip rag patially owned by major DNC insider, power-player, billionaire Ron Burkle. They’re not making this up out of whole cloth. It’s coming from somewhere.

I’m confused. Is Radar online a site for homosexuals or women? I’m guessing women, as there’s a post about the latest in mumu fashion, but those could be for obese homosexual men.

Rule of thumb for matters like this.

If it doesn't make any sense and would further the leftist agenda, it most likely isn't true.

This qualifies on both counts.

We lose the court to a full leftist control... short of an armed insurrection... we will lose all liberty.

Yeah, that’s what I fear too, I remember the left trying to slime Roberts back in 2005 about being gay as well. He does have a wife and kids, however I believe all his kids are adopted...

I pray this isn’t the case, and don’t shoot the messenger, these are just things I have heard raised by the left.
