Some good comes from FR being down awhile: I get to pick up the Sunday Morning thread at the first post instead of when you east coasters are 500 ahead of me!

Idle off topic question.

Why would someone like Tom Hanks who doesn’t need to do this go on talk shows and make a fool of himself and display such ignorance?

Why do entertainers in the business of attracting audiences choose to alienate at least half of th people?

Is it arrogance in thinking their views about a field (government and politics) in which they know almost nothing matter?

I was pretty depressed to find no talk show thread this morning and, in fact, no FR at all.

I posted on the Yahoo alternate thread:

Romney caught in tangled oops re: MA Health Care

FNS

Romney touts not raising taxes to create/pay for his MA Health Care.

Wallace points out that he got FED money to create it.

Romney admits that FED money pays for half of the MA Health Care. That is the reason they didn’t have to raise taxes.

Oops.

I also posted this good news item in the Yahoo thread:

McCain's Draconian Dietary Supplement Bill Dead

http://www.infowars.com/mccains-draconian-dietary-supplement-bill-dead/

McCain apparently decided to withdraw support for this bill he authored because of a massive outpouring of letters to the Senate.

Watched the very honest K. Sebelius on MTP.

Her response to every question by Gregory...who did badger her, yes he did, as to why the admin keeps on pushing this health care when the public doesn’t want it....was...

“IF THE QUESTION WERE REPHRASED....”

Yeah. It isn’t that the American public doesn’t want health care, as the very fine and honest Sebelius sees it, she who must be so proud of lying for a living, God her kids will admire her...it’s that WE ARE NOT PHRASING THE QUESTION CORRECTLY.

Yeah...she said this.

Like, if we would ask it this way...”Would you like to have free health care and milk for life, at no cost to you or increase in your taxes?”...well then the American public would WANT the health care bill.

We just ain’t asking the question correctly.

General observation, across all the shows and all the talking heads:

These people seem to think that it is all about them, and deciding what style of plating should be attached to the next layer of the Tower of Babel is the most important and interesting thing in all of creation.

If another Reagan comes along, he/she will have to concentrate on chasing all these money-changers from the front lobby of the temple. I suppose this is what the final days at the court of the Roman Empire looked like before the end. What a clown posse.

One thing for sure; I will not vote for any more Harvard or Yale graduates. The elite have had their chance; from now on, I want leaders who went to directional schools and paid for their own education. People who know what to avoid stepping in when they walk through a pasture, instead of thinking that they have some right to wipe their shoes on my carpet.
