Normally, I would just write something like this off to rumor, except for the fact it's being reported through a major Israeli press outlet. 2 very odd things - 1) I've never seen Haaretz use this source before and 2) why in the world would Israeli banks want Americans to pull their investments out of Israel???? I have an idea why - but I'm not sure I like the answer

Probably because Israel is going to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities in the next 2-4 weeks. Would cause instability for financial markets, of course.

There’s almost no way to announce this silently and the banks have to protect their clients assets. In this case, they probably cant hence, the urgent call for withdrawals and acct closures.
