Problem is, “W” did fake the WMD thing

Nonsense.
Everyone from Bill Clinton, to Algore to Harry Redid all swore that Saddam had WMD’s even before Bush took power. We have these people on tape declaring that Saddam had WMD’s.
Heck the CIA themselves assured Bush that Saddam had WMD’s.
The fact that no WMD’s were found, doesn't change those facts, nor is it due to any “fakery” by Bush.

You’re totally right on that SJ, but people here who claim to ignore the MSM have been totally brainwashed by them on this issue.

Given the broad certainty concerning WMDs leading into the war and the fact that none were found should lead to the question: What happened to them?

Recall that the UN actually had an extensive inventory of post Gulf War I chemical weapons -- Sarin, anthrax, botulism, West Nile fever, etc -- that were never accounted for.

Recall also that 750 tons of yellowcake were found, along with tons of precursor materials associated with biological and chemical warfare. Some artillery shells with chemical warheads were exposed. Centrifuge parts were dug up from a scientist's rose garden.

Obviously, there was evidence of preparation to produce WMD. And there was a history of having done so. Was intent as far as it went? Or were significant quantities of new WMD actually produced? If so, what happened to them?

Aren't these questions which deserve answers?

The fact that no WMD’s were found,

Even this assertion is no fact - it's a lie. There were WMD's found, especially in the chemical weapon category, as well as ample evidence and constituent components for biological and nuclear weapon programs which had been put in stasis and hidden due to the impending invasion, but could be quickly and easily reactivated had Saddam's regime survived.

One solution for avoiding acknowledging the WMD's which were found was quite simple. They were simply redefined or re-categorized away. When large amounts weren't found, the goal posts were moved and the story became that there were no "stockpiles" found. When large, heavily fortified and camouflaged warehouses on military bases full of 55 gallon drums containing deadly neurotoxins were found, they story was that these were insecticides for agricultural use.

These things were all covered here on Free Republic and in the alternative media, but were effectively silenced in the MSM.

Evidence of these WMD's had pretty much disappeared by the time W was ready to invade Iraq. You go back over what happened step by step, and you see that at some point before the invasion, it didn't matter anymore whether or not there were WMD's. The WMD was a non-issue. Bush wanted to go after Iraq for whatever reason - finish what his dad didn't by getting Saddam or use it as a way to show how we're going to fight terrorism. It was convoluted from the start, but it was never really about WMD's.

What's nonsense was the convoluted genesis of our invasion into Iraq.

Exactly.

And if you recall, unsubstantiated reports stated that suspicions were that Iraq shipped what they had to Syria. Hell they (US soldiers) found caches of materials consistent with WMDs.

The entire world, based on intelligence from the US and other countries, also believed WMDs existed.

Faked WMDs...what nonsense. If you ask me, he (Bush) was overly prudent in invading. He clearly stated in his speech immediately after 9-11, that we will make NO DISTINCTION between terrorists and those who harbor terrorists.

Yes Bush made mistakes...but I felt a hell of alot more comfortable with him at the helm. He was at the very least, someone that could be reasoned with. What do we have now? A wannabe tyrant who is taking a wrecking ball to our Nation.

I’m sick and tired of BDS.

There is more hard evidence for WMD in Iraq than Obama’s healthcare would reduce costs, increase access and make Americans healthier...
