Bush had no reason to believe there were WMD's, and couldn't even very well define what he allegedly thought Iraq had. It was a sham. By the time he was ready with his invasion plans, he really didn't care what intelligence, conflicting or not, was telling him.

It seems he wanted to finish what his dad started by getting Saddam, and in some convoluted way, fight the war on terrorists over there. Jihad was not big in Iraq under Saddam because he was not a religious zealot, only a ruthless political dictator.

That is not a lie.

You can’t dismiss or ignore Saddam’s behavior, either. He could have stopped everything in its tracks by complying with any of the dozens of UN resolutions, allowing inspectors free rein, and proclaiming that he had nothing to hide. Instead, he kicked the inspectors out (after making a joke of them for years) and acted like a man with everything to hide. And I am mistaken, or weren’t there photographs of convoys of trucks leaving Iraq and heading for Syria? I could have sworn there were, and that it was never determined what the convoys were carrying.

Yeah, what a jerk.

We should wait until they're blowing up your kid's school.
