I would think that if atheism was so rampant in our society, then some politician would be running on an atheist platform.

You either have to allow atheism in America or force religion on people that don’t want it. Which stance do you think is compatible with the ideas of freedom and self-determination?
Should atheists proselytize to people who don’t want to hear their views? No, and neither should people of faith.
If you in fact beleive what you wrote, then you know two immutable facts. First, our Creator reigns supreme and He cannot be overcome. No task is too hard for Him. Second, our home is not here. Therefore, to spend all our energy, focus, and effort to make our lives as comfortable and stress free as possible is a fool's errand.
Peronally, I look to the Laodicean church as our current example of our error. That is, we are neither hot nor cold. Our faith is lukewarm and therefore idolotrus and ugly. I agree with you regarding your diagnosis of what our current state is, but your analysis of why that is is lacking.
We must desperately return to our first love. It is our only hope.
Our Founders felt atheists had no place in our country. In fact, for the first hundred and fifty years or so, atheists were not permitted to testify in courts, for the reasons you cited. They also were prohibited from holding office. (Before someone points out the “no religious test” clause in our various constitutions, our Founders didn't classify simple belief in God as religious; they were talking about denominational discrimination.)
The atheists have been forcing it on America in the courts and classrooms.

This is not a renegade force, its organized very well under the banner of communism. It has been done everywhere and the only thing that has slowed it is Christians.
You are exactly right with the rest, the church has become warm spit and needs to have a revival. This is the wrong way, there is only one Hope.

You say that we are organized under the banner of communism? I am a libertarian and most of my fellow atheists I know are libertarians too. We make you Christian conservatives look like pikers in comparison to our support of Freedom. Maybe you should rethink your intolerance a little before posting next time.
I understand your concern and I see the signs of the end all around me. But as A Christian all I can say is that I am not worried. I know Whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto Him against that day.
The war is between the Religion of the God-State, and God.

China is an overwhelmingly Buddhist country. Russia is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox (80% of ethnic Russians) followed by Muslims. Next time you try and make outlandish claims try to get some facts first.

I didn't claim it was. It is a God fearing nation nation though that doesn't tolerate Atheists or Christians for that matter.
I think the simplest definition for me would be a Constitutionalist. The founding fathers did a very good job writing it.

China was not Buddist during Mao but atheist as was he. Buddhism is one of the most brutal cults on the planet as it allowed japanese to exterminate entire cities in the war. Matter of fact the Chinese gummit is trying to bring Christians into their Country to educate businessmen for the very reasons I stated.
As for the SA comment, it is one of the atheists cheapest tricks to equate Mooselimbs to Christians. You made my point. Tell me, which Country has had the most Freedom in history while being a Christian nation? You want to compare Christian Countries to atheist?
