White House Won't Rule Out That Obama Will Sign Other Bills...That Are Not Put to Yea-or-Nay Votes

The White House declined on Thursday to rule out that President Barack Obama might sign future legislation, such as an immigration reform measure, that has not been put to a recorded yea-or-nay vote in both houses of Congress.

CNSNews.com asked White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs about the possibility of the president doing so because of a prospective lawsuit that Landmark Legal Foundation President Mark Levin has prepared to file against the president if he signs a health care bill that has not been passed by a direct recorded yea-or-nay vote in the House of Representatives. The prospective lawsuit argues that the plain language of Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution requires that both houses of Congress hold recorded yea-or-nay votes on a bill before it can be presented to the president for his signature and before it can become law.

“I stated earlier that when this (health care) bill passes the House, the president will be happy to sign it,” Gibbs told CNSNews.com.

He twice declined to say, however, whether President Obama would rule out signing additional pieces of legislation that did not pass both chambers of Congress with a yea-or-nay vote....

It won’t take the troops 3 weeks to arrive here by ship. They’re already here and they’re locked and loaded.

Each member of the military will have to decide whether to be loyal to the Liberal Messiah (including His apostles) or to the People. Sadly, I expect the military to fracture.

And by the way, D.C. police answer to Pelosi and Obama.

Wonderful, their very own Praetorian Guard.

Scary, huh. Cops, mostly minorities, armed and taking orders from the enemy.

Most soldiers will be good soldiers and follow orders. I don’t suspect it will be as it was in 1861 when Lee and all the southern boys were allowed to make a choice.

Re: Constitutionally eligible president. . . Where is the birth certificate?

If there was ever a time for this to come to the attention of the nation, this is the time.

I think Robert Heinlein called the end of American democracy just about right. He foresaw it ending about the 2016 election.

I wonder about SCOTUS as they took an oath too. Surely they don’t just plan ride the pine while the Republic nosedives to unreachable depths over our Founder’s near and dear Constitution.

Deo, 45% of the people in this country still love this man. They WANT socialism. They knew what they were getting when they elected this guy. They want to see us locked up or shot in the streets. They’re just so stupid they don’t realize that after they get us, they’re next.

They're sawing off the branch they're sitting on. It's a long way to the ground.

Can you say immigration reform in time for them to vote in the next Presidential election? Simple procedure. No vote required. Bye-bye America.

This was raised on Hewitt's show this afternoon and Hugh swatted it down without a seconds hesitation saying that the GOP Senate would filibuster any such bill. Has he so quickly forgotten McAmnesty saying he wanted to work with Barry on Comprehensive Immigration? Some of these talk show hosts really don't prepare or just shoot from the hip.

If Piglosi can get this passed, there will be a flood of legislation just around the corner and all the rules, laws, and the Constitution be damned. They know they have to get MARXISM in place before Nov 2010, and no later than Nov 2012. I don't put anything past these RATS. WE NEED TO PRAY, since we don't have the numbers or the tools.

Hewitt calles himself `Rule of Law` Conservative. But the way that he explaind it was that he would roll over in the face of authoritan tyranny. He annoys me. I don't listen so much except to an interview I want to hear. I prefer Levin.

Blazing Saddles Theme

Flaming Constitution

He rode a blazing saddle
He wore a shining star
His job to offer battle
to bad men near and far

He conquered fear and
he conquered hate
He turned dark night into day
He made his blazing saddle
a torch to light the way

When outlaws ruled the west
And fear filled the land
A cry went out for a man with guts
to take the west in hand
They needed a man who was brave
and true with justice for all as his aim

Then out of the sun
rode a man with a gun
And Bart was his name
Yes Bart was his name

He rode a blazing saddle
He wore a shining star
His job to offer battle
to bad men near and far

He conquered fear and
he conquered hate
He turned dark night into day
He made his blazing saddle
a torch to light the way

He flamed the Constitution
He followed a Crescent-Star
He claimed he had solutions
To problems near and far

He offered Hope and
He offered Change
Pretended dark night was day
He made the Constitution
A torch to light his way

When outlaws ruled in Washington
Corruption filled the land
A cry went out for an honest man
To take the place in hand.
Instead they got Faux-Bama
Destruction was his aim

Yes, out of Chicago
There came a Thug
Faux-bama was his name
Yes, Faux-Bama was his name

He flamed the Constitution
He followed a Crescent-Star
He claimed he had solutions
To problems near and far

He offered Hope and
He offered Change
Pretended dark night was day
He made the Constitution
A torch to light his way

“Stand your ground; don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”

In the pre-dawn hours of April 19, 1775, a large intimidating contingent of British soldiers advanced upon the village green of Lexington, Massachusetts. Their mission: to seize and destroy military supplies held by the colonial militia in nearby Concord.

What they did not suspect, however, was the accuracy of intelligence that had been gathered by the unassuming patriots, a small group of whom were waiting in a local pub for news of their arrival. Various accounts of what exactly transpired at dawn may differ, but nearly every American remembers the meaning of the “shot heard ’round the world” and the ensuing Battles of Lexington and Concord that led to the Revolutionary War and the founding of a new society, a new people, and a new government free from tyranny.
One memorable quote has been inscribed on a stone marker in the Lexington Common, attributed to Captain John Parker, leader of those 77 Lexington minutemen:
“Stand your ground; don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”

The Founders are calling us to action, WHAT SAY YOU?!
GOD SAVE OUR AMERICAN STATES!
