I have a few Air Force retirees asking me if I know how Tricare for Life will be affected. I know I have read some stuff here on FR. If anyone has that info handy, I would appreciate receiving it. Calling it a night, but I will search FR tomorrow. Thanks all.

The Democrats are hell bent on destroying the middle class. Those effete elite snobs could never stand the way people were able to become new rich in this country. If they succeed it won’t happen anymore.
They trying to create two classes: ruling and working.

FICA: 88,200 x 7.65% = 6747
Federal Income Tax: 68,200 x 25% (figuring deductions of 20K) = 17,050
State Income Tax in a cheap state: 68,200 x 5% = 3,410
Obamacare premium for family: 15,000
Total burden on a middle class family: 42,207
Leaving $3,833 per month to pay the mortgage, buy the groceries, save for retirement, save for college, pay the utilities, buy clothing for the kids, buy a car, etc.
Middle class livin’ large in Obamaland.

The Democrats keep this up and there will be a bloodbath on November 2, 2010 as Democrats (and RINO's!) will be voted out of office
en masse over a bill that will cost the average American family US$12,000 to US$15,000 per year in premiums and could end up costing
WAY over US$1 trillion in cost. No thanks!

We have a high-deductible plan wherein we pay like $450/mo and when we reach $6500 we get full coverage. Now we would have to pay an extra $600/mo to get LESS coverage (”Bronze” = 60% coverage = $12,500/yr)??? Absolutely ridiculous! No way are we going to comply...but of course the insurance companies offering such plans will be driven out of business or forced to cancel the plans.

Families of four that make up to 400 percent of poverty level--currently $88,200 per year--would receive a subsidy from the government to help pay for their premiums. Isn't that nice? Just where is "the government" going to get the money for this subsidy?

Get taxed the first ‘4’ years( yeah, right ), and then the government will ‘give’ you, a type, of ‘health care’.
It is like giving a street crack dealer your money and waiting on the corner for him to come back with the ‘goods’.
Who would be so stupid?

Continuing our conversation from the other thread:
These numbers comport with earlier reports on the costs to individuals and families when the senate bill first came out. The Kaiser Family Foundation has a website where you can compute your cost based on the senate version of the bill. Mine will come out to $760.00 a month.

So basically this is a mandated tax for the privilege of being alive.
Life Tax... Tea Tax... without representation.
How’d that all work out again?
