The Senate may not care, but certain House members are only voting on this under the assurance certain fixes will take place. Without that assurance their vote could change.
Then I trust the Republican House members are disseminating this story to their colleagues...so they won't be able to deny knowing about it.
It's not like we can call them, after all...Stupak's mailbox is still full.

“Without that assurance their vote could change.
With all the double-dealing by House leadership, it would be wonderful if just 1 or 2 or 3 brave souls peeled away on their commitments to vote “Yes” on grounds that this new wrinkle created too much risk that the only thing that would get enacted into law would be the current Senate language, which everyone universally agrees is a bad bill in need of fixing. They could reasonably claim that their prior commitment to vote Yes was contingent on strong assurances that reconciliation would pass. The truth is, if House were forced to make an up or down vote on Senate bill without ANY prospect of reconciliation, they do not have a majority willing to vote for such a bad bill.

It will be sweet when
CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERT'S gets to rule this
UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Obama is going to wish he could take back those comments he made about the Supremes at the State of the Union Address.

DON STEWART, McCONNELL SPOKESMAN: Republicans have been trying to set up a meeting with Senate Democrats since yesterday to discuss this fatal point of order but have been met with nothing but silence. We suspect Democrats are slow walking us so as to have the House vote first. Since Senate Democrats refuse to meet with us and the Parliamentarian, weve informed our colleagues in the House that we believe the bill theyre now considering violates the clear language of Section 310g of the Congressional Budget Act, and the entire reconciliation bill is subject to a point of order and rejection in the Senate should it pass the House.

Alcee Hastings... Please tell me hes up for re-election this year?! Alcee Hastings is a United States Representative. ALL US Reps are up for reelection this year, as they are every two years.
What a shame civics is no longer taught in school.
