Freedom Works Willing to Throw Tea Party Under the Bus to Appease Democrats, Media
Monday, March 22, 2010 | Kristinn

Freedom Works, a Washington, D.C. based advocacy group that latched onto the Tea Party movement last year is now threatening to abandon the grassroots movement in the face of a propaganda onslaught by the Democrat party and the media.

Speaking to Politico, Freedom Works spokesman Adam Brandon said that media reports smearing Tea Party protesters as racists could cause Freedom Works to give up its support for the movement:

"Tattoos last forever,” said Brandon, quoting his boss, FreedomWorks chairman and former House Republican Leader Dick Armey. “If the movement gets tattooed as at all sympathetic to those (racist and homophobic) views, I won’t want to be involved in it anymore. It’s very distracting not only to our side but also to the debate and the country.”

The failure of so-called Tea Party leaders to stand up to the Democrat/Media smear machine this weekend has given the machine an opening to hurt the movement that they are exploiting. From personal experience I know that 99.999 percent of the Tea Party movement are decent people who would not yell the things the Democrat/Media machine is accusing them of yelling. For Freedom Works to talk about shunning them because the Democrats and the media smear them is an insulting betrayal, but to be expected from the inside the Beltway crowd.

Good riddance. We don’t need half-hearted RINOs anyway. Don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

the reason not to let establishment folk take a leadership role in an inherently grassroots organization.

The problem is that with no one person in charge of the “Tea Party” movement, there is no one to get up and throw the B.S. flag on the liberal/progressive/socialist/communist/Marxist charges of racism.

This is ineresting. Me thinks they never were conservatives, and waited until the right opportune time to lash out or even perhaps the ones who sent in a plant to utter those things. hmmmmmmm indeed.

No lose. Especially when you consider how stupid they are to believe any one in the Tea Party would say such things and there is proof they didn't.

That's Adam Brandon speaking to Politico.

So how do we know that's what the man said? Politico certainly has tarred itself with the patina of "lack of veracity" the last couple of years.

They're kind of like GQ only more gay. You just never know what they'll turn your stuff into.

Dick, if you're stupid enough to fall for the DemonRAT lies, propaganda and continue to allow the communists to define what you support, we don't fu$*in need you or the horse you rode in on.

I don't dislike people because of the color of their skin, I dislike people who demonstrate cowardice, confusion and stupidity.

I dislike people like Adam Brandon.

OK, they split. How long until Freedom Works is smeared as racist and homophobic? How stupid can our side really be? That is a rhetorical question.

I take it that this is a “news” article (not a vanity) and if so... what’s the reference link to the article?

The MSM is smearing the Tea Parties, as are the dems precisely because they fear them. If Freedomworks throws them overboard as a result, it will be for the same reasons.

It's too late for any of them to stop the Tea Party movement or its impact. The left will go so far as to infiltrate their own people amongst them to do the things they are trying to "brand" or "tatoo" the Tea Party with, but it will not convinve the average American who is fed up with the beltway, and particularly with those currently in the majority in the congress and running the executive branch.

The man who despises America

We have a band of traitors running this country. I know of no other way to state it or express it. That is the truth about Barrack Hussein Obama and those in league with him. They have proven by their words, their deeds, and their stances...for decades...what they are, and now they have punctuated it with this God-forsaken, monstrocity social health care bill, and intend to continue punctuating it with amnesty for illegal aliens, a world-wide socialist cap and trade effort...among many other things. They are marxist ideologs who hate the free market, who hate free enterprise, who disdain the constitution and its attending, foundational principles, who reject freedom and personal responsibility, and who promise the wrteched masses that they themselves have created through dependancy, anything they think they want, so they can amass power to themselves and destroy this Republic, its liberty and way of life, and make it over into a decrepid socialist/marxist state where they and their cronies amass tyranical power unto themselves.

This cannot stand...indeed, this MUST NOT STAND. We must press forward to the elections of 2010 and throw these enemies out with such resounding clarity that it cannot be denied either here or abroad what is occurring. We must do so by turning to the constitution and the principles that are its foundation and then electing only those candidates who swear their allegiance to that constitution and those principles.

Nothing else will do.

If, as a people, we do not turn away from the course these quislings and traitors have set us on, then, as history and God are our witness, we will ultimately be left only with same course our own forefathers were compelled to take...that is, the force of arms, in the hands of citizens and citizen soldiers of this country to route these traitors out.

We are at a monumental crossroads in our nations history. We are on a path to self destruction and the loss of our freedom and way of life. But we have the opportunity to turn off that path and return to the principles that have made America free and prospered her.

Rise up O America, your liberty is calling!

Get involved with the effort to find and support constitutional candidates : RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION EFFORT

Come together with, discuss, and plan activities to take back our Republic at : FREERPUBLIC.COM CONSERVATIVE ACTIVISM

Join a TEA PARTY like our founders, to turn this marxism/socialism around TEA PARTY NATION and, or TEA PARTY PATRITOTS

Stay true to your oath to protect and defend the Constitution at OATHKEEPERS - NOT ON OUR WATCH

Sincerely, and in liberty,

Dick Armey should know that there’s no appeasing Democrats, short of doing what they think is good for their re-election.

‘Bye, Dick, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Mr. Brandon, ask yourself this question: How difficult would it be to put a few plants in place to tar the entire group of people with a media quite willing to run with the allegation with absolutely no evidence at all that such a thing really happened?

Not hard at all, I would submit.

Why is this fool even in the Tea Parties at all?
Time to kick this idiot out of the Tea Parties for good.

Armey once referred to his congressional colleague Barney Frank of Massachusetts as “Barney fag,” causing quite a stir in the Washington Post, New York Times, and elsewhere. He also once made the remark that “if there was a dick army Barney Frank would be in it.”
