The case was initially assigned to Judge Payne, but he recused himself, and the case was reassigned to Judge Hudson.

I have always been proud to be a Virginia but I have never been more proud of our state than I am today!!! My roots go deep in this state. My family settled in VA in 1632 on a small piece of land on Back River, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. Today that little piece of land is known as Poquoson....Indian name for low lands or swamp lands. No one outside of VA has ever heard of that small town of 11,000 people but I am proud of that town, my state and now I must add Cuccinelli to my list of things and people to be pround of! Way to go Cuccinelli!!!

Is the the court aka the “rocket docket”?

yup and this particular Federal district court seems to have a direct pipeline to the Supreme Court given the proximity to DC and it includes DC (District of Criminals)
Rocket Docket too for getting quicker Supreme Court consideration.
15 other AGs are in on this particular (Virginia) lawsuit plus many are also filing in their local Federal District Courts

"...Democrat has become a religion in [Maryland]."

I grieve for my home state, in which I have sworn to never live again. I kicked its dust from my feet a decade ago. The sad part is that it's really only a couple of counties and the odious cesspool of Baltimore City (may it someday wash out to sea) that govern the entire state. The average Marylander is a rock-ribbed, God-fearing conservative.

Could happen! Democrat Washington State is challenging too so far.

Judge Hudson from the Virginian Pilot. He presided over Vick's trial.

You can be proud because 15 other states AGs are happily piling on your AGs lawsuit. Your Federal District Court goes quicker to the Supreme Court so we won't be waiting years for the 0bama/Pelosi/Reid smack down

You and me both...there is no use wasting our breath on any of these nincompoop Illinois politicians! You've got that right! If my Grandchildren weren't here I'd get the heck out of Illinois and to a state that still values our US Constitution.

Correction on my part- The Washington AG, Rob McKenna, is a Republican.

This Virginia AG might very well have some success with this Judge.

I wish my state, NY, could be involved in this, but we have a crappy Kennedy puppet for AG.

Any thoughts on why he recused himself?

The AG’s office is like a block from the Federal Courthouse.

I wonder who in the administration is going to try and defend this. Holder is approaching under the bus status.

I’m not certain. They won’t have to drive far.

No idea. Perhaps because he previously worked for either the VA AG’s Office or the Justice Department.

Onyx I am hearing if they win against the mandatory purchase that the whole beast will fall...aye?

No individual mandate means the end of 0-Care. I'm not a lawyer/liar but that's what it seems to me. Obama/Pelosi/Reid want socialism and when you can legally opt out of socialism then socialism cannot finance its projects
