Benjamin Netanyahu was left to stew in a White House meeting room for over an hour after President Barack Obama abruptly walked out of tense talks to have supper with his family, it emerged on Thursday.
The snub marked a fresh low in US-Israeli relations and appeared designed to show Mr Netanyahu how low his stock had fallen in Washington after he refused to back down in a row over Jewish construction in east Jerusalem.
The Israeli prime minister arrived at the White House on Tuesday evening brimming with confidence that the worst of the crisis in his country's relationship with the United States was over.

When the Israeli prime minister stalled, Mr Obama rose from his seat declaring: "I'm going to the residential wing to have dinner with Michelle and the girls."
As he left, Mr Netanyahu was told to consider the error of his ways. "I'm still around," Mr Obama is quoted by Israel's Yediot Ahronot newspaper as having said. "Let me know if there is anything new."

In effect, American-style liberalism requires the achievement of true doublethink, which is the act of simultaneously accepting as entirely correct two mutually contradictory beliefs. Thus, liberal American Jews see nothing amiss in this circus.
If you haven't already, read Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four. When one apprehends Orwell's insight contained in this novel and Hayek's insight summarized in the essay The Road to Serfdom, one can understand how and why the various sorts of American liberals "think" the way they do. This is really essential to understanding recent history and current events.
I'm just as displeased with O as you, I think, but there's now way that the Prime Minister of Israel is going to take the President of the US to the woodshed. He can express displeasure, take certain types of action without US approval, etc. But give the US a whipping? No way.

At no time in our history has the enemies of Israel (who are our enemies, regardless of Obama’s love affair with them) had the capabilities they do now (nuclear/dirty weapons) or the backing of the US in an attack on Israel.
This isn’t about Bibi taking America to the woodshed, or even the Presidency.
It’s Bibi taking a very rude, condescending little man, who is emboldening the enemies of Israel through open and tacit support of their terrorist regimes (which comes from his own hatred of Israel).
All it takes is for Iran to believe they finally have “consent” of America to wipe Israel off the map. Lord help all of us not just Israel if that happens. That is why Bibi needs to put Obama in his place in no uncertain terms.
