“He put what was some stage prop type pistol to his head as a big joke, pulled the trigger and killed himself.
Big joke.”

Yes, there have been a couple of those. The actors thought that a “blank” round would be harmless, but the wad from a “blank” at pointblank range, is deadly.

Well still, why didn’t he keep the she-dog enclosed. The next time it might not be a Chihuahua on the loose, it might be a he-wolf.

Death by concussion rather than penetration.

As i’m thinking of the life of a Chihuahua in Alaska it’s got me wondering when the fed Government will eventually mandate pet health insurance.

To me this seems only like a natural progression of our recent current events.

“No reason whatsoever to have a Chihuahua in Alaska.”

Use your imagination! They have to feed the wolves, bears, mountain lions, bobcats, hawks, eagles, owls, and wolverines somehow!

On a more serious note, some people would say there is no reason to have a orchid in Alaska either, but it is a free country, and Alaska is one of the freeest states that we have left.

The actor you’re thinking of is Jon-Erik Hexum odf the 80’s TV-shows “Voyagers”.

From IMBD:
“However, on October 12th, 1984 after a long and draining day’s shooting on the set of Cover Up (1984) (TV), Hexum became bored with the extensive delays and jokingly put a prop .44 magnum revolver to his temple and pulled the trigger. The gun fired, and the wadding from the blank cartridge shattered his skull, whereupon the mortally injured Hexum was rushed via ambulance to hospital to undergo extensive surgery. Despite five hours of work, the chief surgeon Dr David Ditsworth, described the damage to Hexum’s brain as life ending, and one week later on October 18th, he was taken off life support and pronounced dead. However, Hexum’s commitment to organ donation, meant five other lives were assisted or saved with organs harvested from him. The youthful & charming Hexum was dead at only 26 years of age.”

Unfortunately, you are all too correct. We must continue to work hard to restore the Constitution.

Did the chihuahua actually trespass on to this guy’s property? If it did, doesn’t the property owner have the right to shoot any animal on his property that strays on to it?

Now that you mentioned it, in my youth a friend of mine who had a paper route found himself attacked on a regular basis by a beagle with a bad attitude. Every time Jeff pedaled his bike past its property delivering the morning paper, the little beastie would charge into the street grab the roll cuffs on his dungarees and drag Jeff from the bike. Finally fed up with the attacks, one morning Jeff brought with him a sling shot loaded with an old minnie ball he'd found. On that fateful morning the dog charged and Jeff let fly with that .50 cal lead ball. It plunged into the top of the dog's skull with the greatest of ease and immediately silenced old “Snoopy.” Jeff cried like a baby for days. He just wanted to drive it off. Never thought of killing it.

We already have it for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We lost one cocker spaniel to breast cancer and another to a heart condition. Treating them was outrageously expensive. Cavaliers are prone to a few genetic diseases and the insurance will cover them if they develop anything.

Sarah Palin’s fault. She obviously incited the man to violence against an innocent undocumented immigrant puppy.

A sad story and a person considered the first Darwin Award winner was the genius behind the band Chicago, Terry Kath.

In an early formative age, I thought I could stun small birds by loading my slingshot with a dried bean. I took a shot at a sparrow, and it dropped like a rock. Expecting to find a stunned bird, I was very surprised to find a dead one.

As a kid i took a shot at a bird with my buddy’s kick ass expensive Marlin pellet gun and watched it fall.
I thought it was dead then discovered it flopping around.
It was a cool looking bird that was unusual for my neighborhood.
After that i lost my taste for shooting things alive.
