Leftist radicals plotted bomb attacks and kidnapping at the RNC convention in 2008 (there were criminal conspiracy convictions) and it never got ANY ink in the national media.

That the media would sweep their dirty laundry under the rug was complicit approval of the actions by Left wing extremists.

At least some law enforcement agencies do the job of seeing that the conspirators are still charged. But Eric Holder doesn't seem interested in seeing justice for all.

The strategy embodied in this article is to delegitimize political opposition, principally by intentional mischaracterization and ridicule, with a goal of denying the oppositions' right of objection.

Obama and the Democrats have promoted policies to which reasonable people have reasonably objected, both in speech and through the written word. By repeatedly ridiculing such objections and openly questioning the character and motivations of those who do object, the Democrats have purposely fomented anger among their opposition.

In other words, it is the political Left that has set out to incite anger and even violence through a combination of ridicule, name-calling and false accusations. Their immediate purpose is to set a trap. Any robust response on the part of Conservatives to the Left's provocations is now immediately held up as evidence of the truth of their underlying accusations, and will next be held as a rationale for restricting free speech.

None of this is new. The Bolsheviks did it, as did the Nazis. But if I said that out loud (i.e. - told the truth), I would be the one accused of radical incitement. This had better end soon, or it will assuredly not end well.

Is America divided over health care right now? Sure it is, the way it was divided over Social Security under FDR and Medicare under LBJ and just about every important social program in the country's history.

Did Socialist Security or The Not So Great Society end any problems? Did they create a welfare class that finds it more profitable to not work?

economists say that Iraq will eventually be a $3 trillion war for this country. But all those who have taken to the streets because of the bill that Obama signed the other day must think that Iraq has paid for itself, no matter how much money it continues to cost this country, how many dead or broken bodies.

Speaking of double standards, the media no longer gives Cindy Sheehan and the pro-insurgent protesters as much ink.

What's the latest body count total in Iraq? Why has the media given up reporting that statistic that they hammered home every week in the Bush terms?
