The new law limits an industry practice of charging older customers more. "Industry practice"....what f****** morons the press are. I suppose next they'll bemoan the aut "industry practice" of charging inexperienced teenage drivers higher premiums.

Now that really ticks me off. We are already barely getting by. Adding another $50-$100 in health care costs is going to hurt.

So he’s screwing the young, the old, and the employed on behalf of the middle aged and unemployed? How is that a political winner?

“Even so, the pluses could outweigh the minuses. Some 2 million people under age 26 should qualify for coverage under their parents’ health plans. “
Oh, I see! So it’s ok that it will rise 17%, it’s only your parents that have to pay it.
Good God, this world has GONE INSANE!!!
I can’t believe I’m reading half the crap I’m reading in the news. It’s like every lefty has lost their damn mind since Obama became elected.

Those numbers sound artificially low to me. I’m expecting them to be at least 40-50% increases within a year.

But the provision to payback 80% of unused premiums will sort of do the same thing, while at the same time bankrupting the insurance companies.

Thank you, young people everywhere, for helping me pay for my expensive medical treatments, so I can live longer and bankrupt the country collecting social security checks and living off my pension, while I vote for people who make sure you keep paying for me.
To: wrrock
Every story I read, this thing is a problem for everyone. Higher premiums, dropped coverage, doctor shortage, taxes on limbs.
It’s horrendous.

HOPE & CHANGE
He destroyed any hope for a job you will ever have, and he took the change in your pocket for good measure. Enjoy the ride to Zimbabwe Youth of America. I may be watching my country plummet into Hell, but I will have the pleasure of watching all of your snotty liberal suburban rear ends dragged into the flames with the rest of us.

I’m betting a fraction of a percent of those folks you are talking about actually have any health insurance, and IIRC they won’t be required to have it until the government will cover them, hence the push to pass the bill.

The person that wrote this doesn’t think the family insurance won’t go up for people that have kids?
What a dreamer.
