President Barack Obama said in an interview broadcast Tuesday that he believes the Tea Party is built around a "core group" of people who question whether he is a U.S. citizen and believe he is a socialist, but beyond that, Mr. Obama told NBC he recognizes the movement involves "folks who have legitimate concerns" about the national debt and whether the government is taking on too many difficult issues simultaneously.
In the interview broadcast Tuesday on NBC's "Today" show, Mr. Obama said he feels "there's still going to be a group at their core that question my legitimacy," but he said he didn't want to paint Tea Party activists "in broad brushes" and he hopes to win over members who have "mainstream, legitimate concerns."
His momma’s mariage certificate would dispel his own wife’s comments about his “il”legitimacy, wouldnt it
Oh, wait, he means his “eligibility”....
He may think he is smearing somebody when he says they question his legitimacy, but after the Hawaii DOH has indirectly confirmed in 2 different ways that the Factcheck COLB is a forgery, a person would have to be a fool to NOT question his legitimacy. See http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/red-flags-in-hawaii-2/
The more the press tries to “smear” anybody, the greater risk they have that what we already know will be reported to more people. I welcome them “smearing” me; it gives me all the more opportunities to point out that the best Hawaii has for Obama is not good enough to be prima facie evidence. The Kenyan birth certificates have more legal veracity than anything Hawaii has.
We need to rub Obama’s face in that fact. And ask why the media won’t touch this fact.
Deflection.
The Tea Party sprang from a Rick Santelli rant about the government forcing one class of citizens to pay the mortgages of another class of citizens. He even called out the president by name.
I see nothing regarding “his legitimacy” there.
I thought he admited to being a bastard child.
Its over for America. He is a dictator since there is nobody to challenge his authority.
We have become a nation of self induldgent wimps.
America is lost as the Right can’t get their act together.
We need to fight back but nobody will do that so Obummer has brought a bloodless revolution to America.
Its over as the GOP can’t get their act straight.
Then don’t listen to Orly. Listen to what the Hawaii Department of Health has said in its official (accountable) responses to UIPA requests. They’ve indirectly confirmed that Factcheck and Fight the Smears COLB’s are forgeries and that the best they have for Obama doesn’t qualify as prima facie evidence. See http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/red-flags-in-hawaii-2/
Obama can laugh at the image problem posed by people like Orly. But he can’t just wish away the factual evidence I’ve got on my blog. The more he brings this issue to the public’s view, the greater the risk that the truth will get out there. I say to him, “Go for it. Make. my. day.”
those two problems keep cropping up.if the President isn’t worried about them why did he bring them up?
Well, I for one think he's a perfectly legitimate commie.
David Letterman interviewed Idaho Tea Party member Pam Stout on last nights Late Show. (Video at link)

I was shocked this was on Letterman, much less national network TV, but i’ll take it. ;o)
- Go Pam!
“there’s still going to be a group at their core that question my legitimacy,”
Mr. President, with ALL DUE RESPECT, THAT is the LEAST of my concerns. It’s your inability to grasp the fundamentals of Constitutional law and Economics 101 that have me wondering just HOW you managed to graduate from grade school, much less university and law school. Ethical concerns aside, you are quite possibly the worst example of why Affirmative Action should have been nipped in the bud, and I was of the impression it was the ONLY social program with any merit.
Not only can you not recognize the difference between a 14 day old fetus and one that has survived birth only to be left in a bedpan to die, you obviously have failed to master basic leadership skills. You have managed to prove that you CAN push the string, rather than pull it to achieve your goals. You are the only President in my lifetime who has managed to anger EVERYONE on BOTH sides of the aisle.
Hey Barry. We do not question if you are a citizen, we just question why you will not show us your long form birth certificate to prove you are a “natural born citizen” as required by the U.S. Constitution. You remember that document don’t you.
All he has to do is prove them wrong. If he doesn’t, he needs to shut up.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck....
Cuban Leader APPLAUDS U.S. Healthcare reform bill -

HAVANA — It perhaps was not the endorsement President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress were looking for.
Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform “a miracle” and a major victory for Obama’s presidency, but couldn’t help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.
“We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama’s) government,” Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president’s hand against lobbyists and “mercenaries.”...http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/25/AR2010032501309.html -
Santelli contributed exposure, but I beg to differ with you about whence it came. A time for "another tea party" was discussed here on FR many times before Rick made his remarks. Not discounting his effect, he captured the public mind for many who never read this forum.
I have personally taken part in mailing tea bags to Congressmen on 2 previous occasions. One was quite a number of years ago. Congress hated it then, and after the anthrax scare it was worse. They really did not appreciate getting something not packaged after that event.
Prove us wrong,
or defend the right to not prove your birth circumstances,
and, while you’re at it, defend socialism/marxism.
He can’t, and that’s his problem. The best Hawaii has for him doesn’t qualify as prima facie evidence. At this point the best legal evidence we have regarding his birth is the 2 Kenyan birth certificates.
Puts him in a bad way because there is no proof of a Hawaii birth that he CAN give us - even if he wanted to. The best he can hope for is that the issue goes away. The media is doing its best to cover for him - in more ways than most people might imagine. So are the folks in Hawaii, but they’ve still managed to indirectly confirm that Factcheck is a forgery and they’ve got nothing that qualifies as prima facie evidence.

Whether he admits it or not, he is, and that is the way I refer to him: “That b*stard commie usuper in the White House”
Shocked, especially since he treated her fairly.
Thanks for posting.
I don't care if he is a bastard in the literal sense--he had no control over his parents' marital status. I wish he wouldn't behave like a bastard in the slang sense by his contempt for anyone who disagrees with him or values American traditions, his lies and taunts and demeaning of others, his arrogance and general nastiness...it would be good if he was contributing to civility rather than tearing it down.
But the important issues have to do with our constitutional system and our economic system, both of which he is intent on destroying.
We know you are a LYING BASTARD!
