Hong Kong = Lee Hang-su
America's Admiral Willard Report (to Congress)

Dalian Daily in Liaoning Province reported that Varjag's remodeling was recently completed at Dalian Shipyard and it is moved out of drydock and now in the water before the shipyard
South China Morning Post reported, "Varjag underwent 'demagnetizing' operation for avoiding mine(or torpedo) attack. The remodeling of flight deck and upper level structure is almost complete."

P!
Ski Jump carriers are bush league.
Ski jump carriers are ugly, too.
That's where the beef is.
Having them is one thing. Learning how to make them work is entirely another.
Good luck with that China.
It has various models of Russian warplane produced locally. It should definitely worry its neighbors.
Why didn’t they just steal the blueprints to one of our carriers and go with a proven architecture (glad they didn’t)? The soviets did this all the time, saved them a bundle in R&D. ;-)
I know it’s politically incorrect, but I can’t help imagining the restaurant staff from “A Christmas Story” trying to sing “Anchors Aweigh!”

Wow. It’s hard to imagine anything worse than Russian manufacturing enhanced by Chinese remodelling.
Great idea. We should encourage them. They’ll waste zillions of dollars trying to make it work which might otherwise be spent on things that cause problems for us.
Great minds think alike.
Yes, that was a cover story. Don’t trust them. They always do that.
China is already doing this on their own, without our help. We do not need to demoralize our side by coming out and saying it loudly. However, we should not prevent Chinese from having pipe dream on their own.
