WASHINGTON The nation's economy posted its largest job gain in three years in March, while the unemployment rate remained at 9.7 percent for the third straight month.
The increase in payrolls is the latest sign that the economic recovery is gaining momentum and healing in the job market is beginning. Still, the healing is likely to be slow, and most economists don't expect new hiring to be fast enough this year to rapidly reduce the unemployment rate.

This is pure b.s. Unemployment claims where over 400,000.00 plus. A very small percentage lower than the last time. A great number of these so called jobs added(125k) are temp jobs, and lower paying jobs.

I heard that the non-goverment payroll numbers are actually DOWN, but I’m not sure how to confirm that.

“I'd bet that the jobs added were government/union jobs, while those lost were good old fashioned private sector jobs.”
Yes, I believe private sector jobs are down and government hiring is up.

According to the ADP Report, which is nonpolitical and based on actual employees, jobs decreased 24,000 in March. The government statistic reflects temporary Census workers and I think it is also being inflated for political reasons.
“Nonfarm private employment decreased 23,000 from February to March on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to the ADP National Employment Report®.”

The report shows better numbers.... due to massive hiring by the government. Out in the real world, the numbers continue to decline.

“businesses are starting to hire and hundreds of thousands of people are getting jobs.”
Businesses are not starting to hire. Private employment is down. This reflects temporary Census jobs. The ADP Report which is more accurate and nonpolitical shows a loss of 24,000 jobs in March.

This kind of response is exactly what gives conservatives a bad reputation. Instead of even trying to understand my question and what I ask for, you call people names.
Once again -- here is my question --- How will we know if this 162,000 new jobs are : a) correct and accurate; b) if correct, mostly government or private jobs.
There you go --- a simple question without stating what I do believe or not. Now, please go and answer it with some links/sources that you are confident are reliable.

The only “employer” adding jobs is Big Brother Hussein.

I’ve been meaning to see if I can help her out as I live in the Ninth. Thank you for the link. Cash is scarce as I worked less than 5 months last year. Perhaps she could use some help on her website or somewhere else. This is one case we could wish for their combined primary/final vote they use when it helps defeat Republicans.

162,000 is no BFD. We should be adding 500,000 new jobs per month.

She is looking for precinct captains, could you do that? At least she has no other GOP opponent for a primary challenge.
I’m going to be traveling in April, family reunion in May, and if hubby’s older (84) brother is back from Kali where he had his shoulder replaced (staying with his daughter so they wouldn’t stick him in a nursing home daughter is wife to the doctor on Love Boat) we will be going to Niagara Falls, NY in June, to visit him. I’m going to be one tired puppy.

I suspect ALL the numbers are cooked, and we are going to be facing state, city, and county employee lay offs as tax intake as not been what it was under GW.
