Obama predicts tough 2010 for Dems By Eric Zimmermann - 04/02/10 11:00 AM ET

Democrats are headed for a tough election cycle, President Obama acknowledged last night.

Speaking to a DNC fundraiser in Boston, Obama said Democrats had reached a "high-water mark" in the last few elections.

"These November elections, as Tim [Kaine] said, will be hard," Obama said. "Partly because this country is still divided, and after 2006 and 2008 we hit a very high-water mark in terms of Democratic representation in Congress and governorships, and we're in the midst of what is still a very difficult time."

Nevertheless, Obama said he was confident that Americans would see past the politics of the moment.

"I just have so much faith and confidence in the American people and their ability even when they're anxious, even when they're scared, even when they're uncertain, to ultimately have an instinct about what is right," he said. "Not just right for them individually, not just right for them in the here and now, but what's right for them over the long term; what's right for the country over the long term; what's right for the next generation and not just for the next election."

Well, it’s been a tough year so far for all the rest of us; seems only fair to have the Dems join us in the misery.

And guess what, THAT is why November is going to be “tough” for the democrats and your sorry ass!

Try a landslide rejection! It’s coming!
The American people ARE ON TO YOU AND YOUR LIES NOW!!!

Obama said he was confident that Americans would see past the politics of the moment.

I certainly hope he is correct about THAT!

I don’t think he cares if Dims win this November or not.

He aleady lost in 3 places he campaigned - Virginia, NJ and Mass.

His main agenda is BIGGER GOVERNMENT and a place in history via this particular legacy. Unless we can overturn this bill, he will get his wish.

Obama has faith that the American people will do “what is right”. He may be on to something considering “what is right” is getting rid of his majority in Congress and then him 2 years later.

November looks like its going to be more of VA, NJ, and MA. People have buyers remorse. This is the worst economy since Carter and Zero and the democraps created it.

Boy king honestly believes he us the unifier, once the nation fully realizes just how historic he truly is, and all the great things he is "providing" to the "less fortunate among us." /sarc

Gee, to hear him tell it, other than a few chronic malcontents at some "Tea Party", the entire country is just swooning over them for passing health care reform.

What gives, Obama?

Obama is like that creepy brother in law that your parents and sister fell for but as the brother you know the Sh!t he has served... you warned everyone, but they wouldn’t listen. They said you were just trying to cause problems in the family, that you actually never wanted your sister to be happy. Then when he started to beat the crap out of her, everyone pretended like it didnt happen. Then they said, “ well he didnt do it with a closed hand” Then they said... “ its really for her own good you know” ..............

You’re absolutely correct. Elections should be about picking the best person for the job. Not about getting rid of the crooked politicians. They shouldn’t have gotten in office in the first place. If they turn crooked while in office, we should be able to get rid of them prior to an election.

He is already lowering expectations — not a great pitch on the fundraising trail - let this go viral

Tim Burns in PA-12 should bait the RAT to bring in his party’s president to campaign for him.
